  1. Yeah it does! That is an awesome experience that I hope you live to regret! Lol seriously an unbelievable experience! Hope you enjoy it! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Would like to try and catch up this year at hit those bass if you need a fishing partner! Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Happy Father's Day too all. I finally got a decent filleting knife that the kids are not touching. About to go for breakfast on the beach. Then I'm being chauffeured to a corporate box at knights stadium to watch the footy! I can feel a sicky coming on tomorrow! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. Well done boys. Sounds like you had a great little session there. I wonder where abouts in JB you were??? Lol. If your targeting hairtail and you catch a shovel nose, that tells me your baits are on the bottom and not 2-3m up where they should be. I've caught lots of different species in that spot and if the arrows are there, send them out live, it's a good spot for Jew too! I've even caught a decent size bronzey there, that put up a great fight. Well done anyway Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. Looking forward to any bass report. I will be dusting off my yak soon. Hope you nail as many as you did last year. Cheers scratchie!!!
  6. Can't say she out fishes me on every occasion but is rather my lucky charm. Almost every time I take her out I seem to manage a monster fish! If not, she does! So when I'm down on confidence it's time to go fishing babe! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. Well done mate. And I know what you mean by jigging on that depth of water. It's a challenge and works the arms real well. But you hooked up and landed a nice fish so all is forgotten. Great work cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Great catch mate. Definately a fish that goes hard and on 9lb a real challenge. Well done cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Too add, I'm lead to believe it takes 2-4weeks for a hook to dissolve depending on the gauge. I'm happy to be proved wrong.
  10. Thought the same. But after thinking about it, these kings school around here for about a month and that's when I target them. He may have just been a pig. Something I'll never forget though!
  11. Mate, you've had the best and worst this year. Just get out there and go clear your mind! Congrats on the birth of your baby! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Hooked a kingy off the breakwall once. Awesome fight for a lb fisho. Took a while to land and with help from another fisho. Well over legal and I was quite pleased. Only to find he had about 6 hooks in his mouth and a few bits of leader. Couldn't keep him after seeing what his been through. Removed all the hooks and let him swim away! Even writing this still makes me smile. Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Hey mate, I've had similar experiences in the hawkesbo over many year but in recent times I've always managed a feed. In winter, other than hairtail, I don't bother as there are a lot more productive areas especially after a big rain! That's my experience! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Very envious mate! Looks like a great trip and that water looks sensational. Thanks for sharing! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. That is a football of a bass! With those pictures of a beautiful day and the sun shining, it looks like it almost time to get out the kayak! Well done to your son on a nice PB. Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Great catch there mate. There's heaps of salmon and tailor up here ATM. To answer your question, yes you can catch luderick off that jetty but it is more productive from the breakwall at Nelson bay. Although this time of year, good luck getting a spot. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. I've from Nelson Bay Area. Will send you a pm later! Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Your right. We lose a few here or there. Especially the bigger ones. They don't school, they go the college and know where all the ledges are!
  19. Thanks Pete. The salmon are thick up here ATM off the stones. They put up a pretty good fight especially for my young boys!
  20. It's always great fun catching fish out of a yak! I really enjoy it but will wait until the weather warms up. Sounds like a productive session. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. A very big welcome to you David. Thank you for your sponsorship and for being a part of the fishraider community. Cheers scratchie!!!

This is not a fishing report so it has been moved.
  23. Yes mike it is! I now live within almost casting distance from the rocks. I've picked up some good squid lately too. I'm still waiting for the kings to show up though. Generally in November up here!
  24. Hey mate! It still hasn't seen any action but there's only 50 days until Darwin and just picked up my tickets. I'll be giving it a good workout up there.
  25. It was yowie. It was a fair effort trying to chuck the bloody thing back in too!
