  1. Solid flatties there poddy. Good to see there coming out again. Always great fun chasing them and the boys look stoked. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. No worries mate. I got them on both bait and SP's. I'm still getting the hang of plastics but they work!
  3. Congrats on the investment mate. So looks like I'll see you around more often. I'll shadow you to broughton anytime!
  4. They can be very frustrating mate. It's like Jew fishing, the more time you spend at it, the better the chance you are! Unlucky champ, next time let me know and I'll come join you!
  5. Cheers Noel, I've lost your number so send me a pm. Lol
  6. I use a 1/4 jig head with a peeled green banana prawn. They don't bother biting it, they just smack it.
  7. Well done champion. There's some great fish there and that 45kg monster looked pretty well hooked! Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. G'day raiders, Just a quick report. We hit broughton island today in search of a few snapper. With the weather expected to be great with not much wind, anticipation was high. We did well in the morning and I managed a nice snapper and between us we dropped a few also. I also managed a good bream going 38cm while the others played with a few pike and Sargent bakers. We changed a few locations as the expected 4knot s/e winds were now 20knot n/e but that didn't deter us. I then landed a nice trev as the boys were now playing with the rockcods. I then landed another snapper and I was thinking wow, I'm on fire! That was until my sons brained farted and he dropped my iPhone overboard. Oh well, food for the table but I can't ring anyone to come share it with me! Thanks for reading. Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Awesome work mate. It's definately one on my wish list. I'm off to Darwin in 4weeks, so fingers crossed. Such a beautiful fish, I can only image the first run! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. From January to April you can get marlin at port stephens in 40m of water. Sometimes no need to travel out to the shelf. It just depends how warm the water is! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. A 4-10kg rod, I would pair it with a 4000 reel. Depends on how much you want to spend and what you are targeting. How long is the rod? For beach, boat or land based? Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Welcome from behind the scenes to the fishraider community. Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Yum!!! A good splash to me would be the bottle! What would be the best fish for that recipe? Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. It's a great way to know what lure you lost. And trust me, I lose many! Well done on a great session. I'd swap 2 lures for a couple of hours of fun. The same thing happens when bass fishing (losing lures). Because if your not tangling with the structure, then your lures not in the right place! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Awesome Ian.... See, our site sponsors to the rescue Tim. Ian will look after all fishraiders. I still think they are scumbags though! Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Happy birthday Craig!!! Hope you've had a great day and a few celebratory drinks! Cheers scratchie!!!

  18. Cracking fish there mate and very deserved winner. The smile says it all. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Absolute scumbags! Next time for longer stays, use the parsley bay ramp. A bit longer trip but well lit area and people always coming and going. I've never had a problem there. Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. Well done boys! But I noticed there was no rod in mouth??? Nice fish trev! Cheers scratchie!!!
