G'day raiders, Just a quick report, finally got out today after a week of moving and bad weather. Dropped a nice Jew not far from the boat and the mrs showed me up big time. She caught 3 really decent flatty and brought the feed home for the family. My hat off to her as she had a line in the entire day and didn't give up! Cheers scratchie!!!

Yes mate, it was tough going. The Friday was the pick of the days, so we decided to head wide and chase marlin. Dropped 2 so was very disappointed. All fish were down in size on last year and Sunday was washed out. Still a great weekend though. Caught up with heaps of raiders and still managed a few nice fish! Cheers scratchie!!! How good was the state of origin tonight??? Once again, the only poor thing about the game was the refereeing decisions! Tough, tough game by both sides. Glad we came out on top! Go you blues!!!

Swordy is right. A shimano terez 8-12kg stik and a shimano sustain 6500 loaded with 50lb will land almost anything you target! Cost about $600!

Dave, that happens all the time. You feel a bite, nothing on the line, wind up fast and bang tailor! The colour and movement of the hook are sometimes enough to get their attention!

Welcome to the site fishing guy! I remember as a young kid fishing at berowa and seeing a mullet jump that was fluroesent green. It freaked me out but now knowing what it is is pretty magic. Too add, if you put out a live fish, that phosphorus, that it emits attracts big fish! There's a tip for you! Cheers scratchie!!!
