  1. Bring that video on!!! Good to see the little champion decky on there again too! His fishing stories will be almost unbelievable! Congrats on the fish! Cheers scratchie!!! Ps. Love his shirt too! But it should say..... My dads fish is bigger than yours!
  2. Mate, with those qualifications you should move up here to port stephens! Williamtown airbase around the corner and you shouldn't have a problem getting a job there! Must admit the fishing is pretty ordinary up here! NOT! Good luck! Cheers scratchie
  3. Great report on the move! Good luck and tight lines to you all. I'm at work on the best fishing day of the week! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. How did you go brooker? Any of them elusive Jew about? Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. Pretty sure it's a sweep! Thousands of em about ATM. They are in jacket proportions up here! Cheers scratchie!!!
  6. The rail bridge! The northern side where the water is deeper, between the bank and first pylon but only on the slack of the tide! Between the 1st and second any other tide but is more luck than anything! The road bridge I've seen a 47cm bream pulled out during the same tide! Good luck! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. If the wind was as challenging there, as it has been up here! Then well done to you! Haven't been able to get on the water most of the week! Love a feed of flatty! Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Can you please parcel post some of them inkers up here??? I'm struggling to get a few ATM! Well done. Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. It's a good feeling, the first fish on a SP. well done, keep practising and they will get bigger! Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Not sure the size but it was the $99 on special at bcf. Hooked it to a car battery! It lasted the 4hrs I was out there. Based on my navionics app, my top speed was 8kph. I didn't paddle at all, for the entire time. I know, sorta defeats the purpose but it was just to trial it. I can certainly see the benefits of having it but not on all occasions. Was handy getting back in when the wind kicked up! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Great effort in those conditions! Well done! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Love the mods you've done already! I brought the same yak from an online store for $369 brand new. Have managed to put on an electric motor and had the same problem as you with the battery floating around so that's a great idea. I have a fish finder that I want to install, my question is where did you mount the transducer??? Do you have a photo?? Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. That's what I'm talking about!!! Always a great and informative report! Glad to see your shoulder has improved and your back on the water! Keep em coming! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. There isn't a wharf. But there is a rock platform that you can fish for them behind the electricity or Telstra box. If you know where I'm talking about? Shoal bay is more productive for squid but you do need a boat until they finish the new wharf. Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. That's an awesome video and u can hear the birds chirping in the background. Cheers scratchies!!
  16. You da man, every session a Jew! We all just dream about that sesh, Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. By the looks if it Fiji don't care! Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Welcome back Roberta!!! And Keith for that matter. Alot of what I had read on your posts has inspired me and I am now the proud owner of a kayak, sorry yak! I have also taken to fishing with SP's and hard bodies. I've really enjoyed that type of fishing over the past 4 weeks and have even managed a few good fish. Flathead, bream, flounder, whiting and even a nice Jew! So welcome back, get back out there and keep posting your very informative and detailed outings! I enjoy reading them immensely and learn so much from them. Tight lines, Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Anytime mate! Have guided a few raiders around the bay but for some reason the good fish always end up on my line? They mustn't like tourists! Lol
  20. Hey, Your making me wish I had bought my yak when I lived for 20 years in the blue mountains! Is that yours, the camo one?? Same as what I picked up! Very stable and great to throw SP's and the likes from. Great report and well done on some fish. They'll be a few good bass about soon! Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Always great to spend time on the water with the boys! My kids love it and always ask to go! I agree with diesel, as long as they are catching something OR you have enough lollie's to get the by. Lol. I'm seeing a few reports of soapies in the hawkesbo recently, so good to see you get amongst them! Well done! Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. Hey, A site sponsor scent blazer lures had a really interesting post on how to set the spread when trolling. It really helped me. It's mainly for game fishing but you'll get the idea. Setting lures at different lengths etc. Between 6-8 knots or 8-12kph a good speed depending on lures. I also have had a bit of success around barrenjoey headland. Early morning, some massive tailor and salmon especially around the platform out the front. Also a chance of bonito and maybe a king as it warms up! Just be aware of some of the bommies that are there. Hope that helps. Cheers scratchie!!!
