  1. Thanks seazar! I wondered if they freeze ok because most tuna you see is served fresh. Once again, great catch, well done! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Awesome fish mate, but what do you do with that many kilos of fillets? Very interested cos when I get my first one I want some idea what to do with it! Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. That app looks great but what I read its only for sth east QLD??? Is that right? Or did I need to look a little further. That would be heaps handy for me at port stephens. Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. Great catch matyg. Agree with Dfishin, throw backs! They are bait thieves and that's about it. Cheers scratchie!!!

No problem bob! If I still worked at the casino, I could of helped. I knew mark bosnish and parents. Maybe he is someone you can appeal too. He used to play for man.u and is very much involved with charities and soccer! Cheers scratchie!!!

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I think that is very poor on behalf of soccer Australia not to assist you. Have you tried contacting David gallop directly? Or maybe a tv station and explain your plight? I really really hope someone can help. Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. Very envious! Awesome trip and great report to go with it! Really loved all the pics and that GT is a cracker! Cheers scratchie!!!

  10. That was sick, mr E.D. Great work, looked like you all had a bit of fun getting amongst it! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Thanks for the info, luc! As I said I'll keep at it while I'm soaking some baits! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Apple tree bay would be the go! There is a fee of $11 for memory. Pretty safe area but I'm fairly sure they lock the gates after sundown and open them at sunrise. This would be the best if you plan to stay overnight. The road winds a bit going down there but you shouldn't have any problems. Hope this helps. Good luck! Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Awesome work guys! Great to see all you fellas out there chasing em! Thanks for sharing with the rest of us novices! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Hey nursie, It's certainly a different way to fish and a bit more skill involved but I always seem to go back to bait too! But one thing that is helping me improve is as I'm soaking baits I use one rod with sp's! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Nice red there! I've been hanging to poke my nose out the front but every chance I get the weather has been shite! We're you hanging around the islands or south of fingal? Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. With this fish (I heard this on raider). Cook in boiling water with two rocks! When the fish is nice and tender, throw out the fish and eat the rocks! Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. You can't go past the Haines IMO. I have a 470 breeze and there's not really many places it won't go! The only thing I'm not happy with is the range, based on the fuel tanks. I haven't put an inboard in yet, but with a 75hp merc the fuel consumption is actually quiet good! The hull is the best! Good luck with your decision. Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Agree trev, this is fishraider not Australian spelling championships!
  19. Awesome! I think we all know not really great weather ATM. So to get out and get a few, hats off to you! Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. That's a great snapper there! You gotta be happy with hooking that fella. Best eating BBQ fish ever! Congrats! Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Pm sent. Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. But just remember at apple tree bay there is a fee for parking there. $11 if I remember rightly. Cheers scratchie!!!
  23. thanks mate, yeah I know but my first of the season. I normally catch them off the rocks or beach not on SP's in the bay! Was a surprise! Cheers scratchie!!!
  24. Thanks Pete! Had a look and yes it is a 1/4 jig head and Berkeley gulp 2 1/2 inch SP's. (you know your stuff) Definitely need help with the plastics. I know how to cast, tie knots and a general idea of working them but the finesse is not there! It was great not having smelling hands for about 1/2 an hr. but I did change tact and went to bait and caught about 10-12 bream very quickly. Cheers scratchie!!!
  25. Not really. If they are there, you'll get em. The rain won't be to much hassle. The best session I had was after a week of rain! Burley good, use LEDs, and waratah bay would be a good bet! Good luck! Cheers scratchie!!!
