  7. Yes z-man curly tail in motor oil colour there brilliant!
  8. One of my uncles friends caught a 10 pound rainbow up there a few weeks backs. Bit other than that he got a hit and none others
  9. Was down at bendalong with a at least 1.5m north east swell which goes straight at the beach ramp. Went to the spot motor cut out. Then paddled a few kilometres then a guy came and towed us back the rest of it. Reversed down got the boat on the trailer massive wave hit spun the boat sideways into the back of the ute which my dad just bought for a few weeks earlier. Tried the second ramp managed to get it on with a with a few people down there. Lessened learned not to put in with a north east well!
  10. Yes I know haha I know I will keep getting more and more. My brother and parents always say to stop buying stuff but I can't help myself haha and when I get a boat soon I know I'll "need" more
  11. Yeah he gets it from some shop hahaha but I think it just would be fresh squid
  12. Yes I know haha very lucky now I know not to get annoyed when I get snagged up The really good reels and bonus the how cheap they are and where were you fishing when you lost the monster?
  13. I was think of doing that combo but I want to separate rods with different lures so I don't have to keep changing. I don't really use the. There for my younger brother who is 9'so he doesn't really care but don't get me wrong I have caught some decent Aussie salmon and trevally on them. I don't like using my good gear for that reason haha I always fear of losing the combo and once dropped it in but luckily my lure was snagged in a tree so I got it back almost lost $200 worth of gear..
  14. My mate goes up to tea gardens to target Jews. Don't know the spot or bait as he keeps it a secret haha but he pulls out pretty big dues up there. He uses some special squid that he won't tell me haha. Just fresh squid yakkas into deep holes and hopefully you will get one Cheers Ethan
  15. Yeah I thought so aswell same reel just different colour, but I thought it may have different features And jameshanna I have a sienna it's good but I find they Arnt smooth after a while, that or I'm just used to smooth reels like my stradic
  16. And one more thing what is a better reel the ballistic or the freams??
  17. Yeah thanks for the tip but I still haven't got the 30+cm bream yet on lures but have caught a 29cm on the sand flats but didn't put of much of a fight haha and I know the trevally put up a fight screaming off 12 pound braid easily
  18. Thanks for that and yeah same stuff hard bodies, poppers, and light soft plastics. I fish as light as possible to get the enjoyment out of fishing haha
  19. Hi all with a bit of many saved I'm going to get another light combo as I got a soft plastic rod for snapper/kingies. I'm tossing up between two reels and rods. Either a daiwa freams or ballistic and the daiwa gen black itchy twitchy ll or the two drunkmonkies. I'll be using it for bream, flatties, trevally, trout sort of fish. Will be from a boat or kayak. Any help would be appreciate Cheers Ethan
  20. Thanks for that I will check it out next weekend as I'm fishing today and tomorrow haha
  21. Hi all I'm looking at getting a soft plastics rod and reel for doing snapper, kingfish, jewfish fishing. My price range is $300 tops without including braid. I don't care what brand of gear just something that is half descent and will do the job. I would prefer a two piece but don't mind having a one piece around the 7 foot height and like 4kg to 8kg rod. And reel from 3000 to 5000. Any help will be appreciated Cheers Ethan
  22. Yep I can second that great reel, very smooth can even feel it when you reel
  23. Yeah haha there has been over 220 entries for the comp, trying to turn into the rowing club is a disaster I was just lucky I entered at 2:30, also there hasn't been many fish brought in though.
  24. Had a look at work and the comp is fishfest
