  1. What about middle head and south head, not sure if south head is accessible on foot by would be a goer if possible.Caught a fat mack tuna in close to the rocks last season,if you find any let me know
  2. Just a quick note, there seems to be a good showing of smaller school jew around the mouth of the hawksbury at this time of year.Read a report on here the other day about 14 being caught at Juno in one night and a 75cm flatty.Mates of mine got them exact same time last year, all were about 3-6kg,but the lizards were all 55+.Heading out on the weekend to hopefully nail a few.See you there
  3. I work in the seafood industry and our imported fish, octupus, squid makes up for about 70% of all our sales.Pretty sad hey!!! The simple fact is that our fisheries do not hold enough stocks to make it sustainable.Even our bream and barra are imported. The exotic stuff goes overseas because they pay top dollars for that shit. What I think would be a good idea is to set up alot more fish farms here in oz to supply the local market. By the way if any of you guys saw the special on sixty minutes about the basa in Vietnam ,don't beleive everything they showed you.The pictures were REDICULOUS. like they go around scooping dead fish out of sewage infested waters. We have booklets to hand out to customers and it shows spotless facilities were it all goes by the book, anyway QUARINTINE inspects it all when it comes in so those fish floating in turds would not get through anyway.Don't get me wrong,I HATE whats going on in the industry but what do you do???????? Any way my head hurts now, time for

  7. Decided to hit botany today and try for some dollies, As usual things happen and we get to the ramp late, ended up getting twelve or so yakkas before they went down. With not enough bait to head out to the fads, decided to hit the flattie grounds to see if we could get a good feed.Hit the mark and first drop a healthy 55cm flattie comes aboard thanks to my mate Ro.From then till about midday we ended up landing 26 legal sand flatties smallest being 41cm and largest going 64cm. double hookups a few times , Got to love those flathead!!!!!...... We also scored a few mowies and nannygai. Must say my highlight of the day was getting a two metre long blue bottle wrapped around my hands.Thought it was line tangled around my hook .All up awesome day out and cannot wait to hit the wider grounds and have ago for the bigger beasts out there.. Are you ready Coollamon?? Tried putting photos on but not happening, can someone please tell me how to get them up

  15. Its happened to us before ,but if it is simulator mode it should say it on the screen or in the menu if it is on or off. Some how our sounder seems to go back to it by itself sometimes. Also check the chart speed is correct as this could cause some inaccuracies. As for spots , the guys are spot on, research and trial and error are the best way

  17. The trucker hat I think wouldn't provide enough protection from our scorching summer days.Surf style for me.Have been wearing the same two hats for five years and still going strong.CAN I SUGGEST an elastic style draw string just above the brim.this allows it to be adjusted to the size of head you have.Just a suggestion guys.
