  5. yep my tubes are 220 & never had issues nsw or Qld long as its virgin it has copped a few dings but thats what its for "protection " i cant say anything about some cheaper carriers as i dont fly with them ,& dont think they take the same duty of care with items ,wondered how they go with the larger surfboards then .

  7. id also like to know is that distance via gps so its accurate and is the boat driven up the backwaters where its glass flat or where its hindered by swell.
  8. Damn have to be the biggest lime green SP ive seen what sort of jig head ya use for the wobby
  9. Great to see hahah jewies are most often the most unexpected hookups its just a matter of trying to hold on to them . ya now broken through with the maiden now your on to them.
  10. ive used fresh chicken kievs ive made but havnt used from work, cut into half inch strips they hold well on the hook too ,plenty of big sea bream have fallen for piece of chicken, these are uncooked ,and its instant berley when it hits the water , ive used it off the rocks , also caught a few rock piggies with it too.
  11. finally got my baitrunners home thx spiro your legend

  12. lookin from 7.5k to 14 k id be more inclined @ looking at what you can tow with your car, obviously the bigger the better ,the harbours are big place which side of the bridge ? how many ppl are you going to carry ? ,how much do you want to spend in total boat/trailer/motor/safetygear/ and with those new rules maybe thats why theres plenty to choose from under 4.8 mt.
  13. i think one of the most important parts of the iceboxes is the latches and sealing part of the box ,mine is probably about 10yrs old and most of the rubber seal on lid has warped and also the latches which are made of rubber 1 has busted and it wasnt a cheap icebox to start in the 70l category. so id give the techni ice one;s a good lookover .
  14. yep stay off the rocks this weekend terrible weather & massive seas' & swell forecast
  15. wow funny as , especially from 2.05 ,when my dad would wind in with no bait on his hook, lol idiotfishing again .
  16. i dnt understand why some of these spots arnt out of bound to fisho's, all thes deaths id like to see how many have been in around sydney area ,i myself have been rockfishing for approx 20yrs ,ive only been in sydney about 6yrs but ive actually only been off the rocks only once here ,i hate the thought of having to climb down & up ladders & ropes ,or fishing of a ledge which is preety much the same height as the sea ( that the biggest scary for me ). ill gladly drive 5 or 6hrs north to my home country where your 10 to 20 ft of the water, plenty of escape routes,& usually very few fisho's ,these spots u do have to walk but there lots of them north of south west rocks, right up to coffs. im sure theres more sth of sydney too.best way is to do a fisho weekend ,get a few mates leave syd fri night fish the sat ,sunday morning then back syd after that ,plenty big jewies ,tailor, bream to be had this time of year.
  17. 492F signature 420KG just over 5.05 mt from nose past engine
  18. occy straps with the hooks opened a bit to fit the bars on the launcher theres no way theyll come out been almost vertical in beach break &they never looked like moving, look at which size u need might be small ones or medium length depending on the length between reel seat & bars
  19. Mate im a chef of 13 yrs and my knives are my livelyhood .i use a diamond steel for touch ups during the day & 2 stones 1 normal,1 ceramic for finishing them on weekends . ive even had the intire blades thinned a bit on a standing belt sander my uncle has (hes was a boner, now a grader ).most my knives ive had for approx 12yrs there pretty much the same as when i bought them but they werent cheap there dropforged fron germany $$$ a little paring knife starts at about 100 bucks . there not stainless steel there cromolybendium. If you go to a king of knives or similar shop u should be able to find 1 that you draw the knife through ,there quick & give a decnt edge.sharp enougth for most filleting and skinning
  20. made me laugh steve .i think it really depends on the habitat that your quarry maybe lurker in, whether it be in slack water up a river somewhere or off the oceanrocks in very fishywater maybe at the mouth of a river off a breakwall with the tide raging or on a beach these are just some of variables that must be taken into account if you are to hold a large silver trophy up . most of the ones ive caught have hit like freightrains there hitting baits at speed because of the water . im just waiting for anzac day & the mullet run its the start of my fishing calendar Happy Hunting
  21. oh im not going to go over the manufacturers weight rating just up to it ,im going from approx 125 kg motor to maybe 170kg which its rated too. i was more putting the question too ppl who have gone from a 2 st carbie to 4 stroke.
  22. yeah wasnt sure ,would think the manufacturers would underrate them a fair bit , so if i add say 50kg to the transom would it be like a extra livebait tank wouldnt it
  23. Hi everyone, does anyone do it and if so whats the effects are there if any

    Boat Trailers

man ive got car duties now while she drives the boat up,i hook the boat up ,whack a ubolt on and jump in and drive up the ramp takes bout 2 mins .wwhile the boat next to u is still being winched on. most full multirollers wil be driveon driveoff.ive got guards between each roller so even if half miss que u can lay off the throttle back and she centers as the boat rolls back then drive back up to the post.
