Hey mick I used to quicksilver oil and I can't tell any difference Visibly anyway I only use xd1oo cos ive been told its the best off a couple of people and Would love to know the difference myself like scientific tests or something just something totally unbiased

Yeah I used to get mine from penrith marine now I'm on the xd1oo And get it delivered to my door its really expensive but lasts ages Not sure where else you'd get it from But I might start lookin at same oil for cheaper a price to Cheers

I definitely stick with the pfluegers n ugly sticks Had a berkley drop shot snap on me the other week ended up getting a trion Beautiful rod and not looking back And ugly sticks I reckn are awesome to argueably oneof the strongest rods out I got a new ugly stick platinum awesome rod totally recommend them to my two bobs worth anyways Cheers

have a go at doing it yourself mate its very easy A good life skill to learn cos they should be inspected at least once a year anyways just make sure you pack the bearings properly with grease Also get marine bearings they sell em at ****** Heaps better and last heaps longer

Yeah I've actually seen them do tests where not only did out remove salt but also remove minor surface rust also leaves a protective film so that salt can't build up again

yeah grinners ive been gettn alot of things from the states cos its just cheaper like for instance got quoted 450 for a stainless steel solas prop got it for 290 delivered i know alot of people will say its bad for the economy n stuff but just cant pass things up when theres that much of a differance hey and yeah very happy with the saltaway top stuff

i had a berkley dropshot 1 -4 kg spin stick gen 111 blank not sayin all of em but the one i had was a dud snapped in half the first decent fish i had on went and exchanged it for a pflueger trion and havent looked back way more superior and look at the ugly stick platinum range for something a bit heavier i got one absolute awesome rod

i got the standard greyscale mark 5 dsi and i reckon its awesome i reckon for the money youll find it hard to get better and the colour one would be even better cheers

hi guys just wandering if anyone out there has a stainless solas propeller im thinkin of getting one and just wanted to know how they rate and was there much differance between the stock aluminium prop to the stainless the one im lookin at is the saturn model in the solas range any info would be greatly appreciated

hey cutloose this is how mine came up i cut a hole through the side of my hull to i reckon some people will frown upon this but i reckon its awesome and works great to by the way i used a 3/4 inlet and 2 inch outlet just perfect good luck mate

yeah i thought all the cheapie sorta fish finders were the same till i got my dsithe most honest fishfinder ive ever owned it only shows fish when there is fish like ive had a lot of fishfinders over the years and most of em have fish everywhere when theres nothing at all i sorta had a bit of a theory that they were programmed like that just a conspiracy theory of mine lol but the dsi is definately the best cheapie ive ever had by a long shot hope this helps

ive owend a 2004 model 25hp shortshaft merc and currently own a 2008 model 40hp merc i reckon the motors are awesome and never been let down once but i am real meticulous about maintenance and only ever use xd 100 oil but early model blue brown bands etc ive never owned one but have heard a lot of stories but i reckon its really how its been looked after and continues to be looked after and as stated above there are a number of duds that are made from all manufacturers but if its a 90s model and still going strong get it and look after it should be ok? cheers
