  4. i actually took my old ones off they were the ones that hang out the back more se 200 ithink but didnt like em unless the motor was perfectly trimmed up theyd dig in and the boat would go on its side all most but on the weekend i got the wings i had them on a 25 hp before and they were awesome it made the whole boat more stable when underway specially turning but yeah they were only 30 bucks so if i find its doin the same ill just take em off cheers

  10. yeah mine arrived today( tuesday) awesome man a i got a large battery box and both batterys fit in just perfect im very happy but one thing if its the same people i got mine off tell the dix to put the lil bolts in a bag or they fall oyta the box lol
  11. yeah only cost me 50 bux free delivery
  12. correct me if im wrong guys but deep cycle batterys are designed to be drained and charged drained and charged over and over etc etc it makes sense to cos car batterys are never meant to go flat thats why we have alternators also im pretty sure you have to have a fully sealed battery in your boat by law since switching to deep cell ive never had battery problems like ever i got 2 one for the motor which is a bit overkill but y not so the motor charges that one and just bought a little 18ah jetski battery to run my led lights that run all the way down each side of the boat under the gunnels (4.2m stacer seahorse ) fishfinder ' 2 bilge pumps (bait tank) (under floor bilge) and nav lights and i think its suits my boat pretty perfectly just some ideas cheers
  13. cheers thanx brickman
  14. yeah i remember i had to do the same with my garmin transducer dont have to on this new lowrance skimmer its a different design ummm yeah might have to do it on the other side just wandering if any one has done this and got away with it cheers thanks for the reply mate
  15. hi guys just would it be ok if i located the bilge pickup next to my transducer the stalk of the pick up wont be underneath the transducer or anything i have heard the transducer should be located at least 1 ft away from lower unit so it doesnt cause distortion just wandering if the pick up would cause distortion? just that i want my bait tank on the side of where it is anyinfo would be great note; the bilge pump wont be running at all when the depth sounder is on so there will be no electrical dissruption
  16. if you really just stay around those spots i wouldnt get one but i do a lot of exploring and always looking for new places ledges drop offs etc and really i just want to see the bottom a lot clearer just outa curiosity i guess and take it to my old haunts and see how different the bottom looks but i guess for 450 inc delivery not really a big sum to cough up hope this helps

  19. fishon

    hmmmm confused

did you make sure your breather was open on the new tank?
  20. after fitting my shift cables the other day i was talking to the guys down at ****** marine and told them i had negative current running thru my hull they gave me quite a weird look and said that aint right got my test light out and showed them and they were shocked told me to isolate them straight away what i was most amazed by is that theres millions of tinnys out there and theyve never heard of it before
  21. thanks mate i got an isolator on my positive might have to put one on the negative i was going to isloate the complete motor from the hull but im thinkin the water will just direct it straight back im guessing well i know this must be a common occurance just that ive heard alot of threads stating that bus bars that are earthed directly to the hull is disasterous abit confusing thanks for your reply dogtooth cheers
  22. also if you do isolate the engine will it be a waste of time whilst in the water will the water just conduct it straight back to the hull?
  23. yeah but negative current runs thru the motor which is connected to the transom thats why i was askin does every body isolate it somehow? just hard as there is 4 bolts to somehow isolate to that run thru the transom?
