  1. Good work you lucky bugger. The rocks is the best place to fish along the coast , Its just the weather and bar to contend with and currents.
  2. Yes the yakka's are always there, The cheap bait jigs small ones, But you need to burley up.
  3. Hello to all. As we all know the dollies are out there. What I would like to know is has anyone fished the bottom of the fads or fished the reefs like the peak ETC. Thanks, CHOCLATE.
  4. Which fad Paul , And how did you catch them, bait , plastics , skirts .Thanks Paul. Good catch.
  5. Yep next week for me , if all goes well, the fads for me.
  6. Go to the rocks marine bait and tackle shop and get yourself a AFN map ,Its got most the spots you need, Also before going out the bar walk up the path along the bar to see what it looks like and get a feel. Stay safe.
  7. Yeh that's a piece of work , Nice.
  8. Hello Peter, Always like you reports , Might try to get out myself in a few weeks. Big work load, Keep them coming.
  9. I been through bars and almost rolled and tip the boat , This was on 4 occasions 3 different boats , Not from being silly but from things changing very fast, Quick thinking got me out of the shit I was very lucky this was up at south west rocks bar. I have had people say it cant happen to locals who know the bar any bar along the coast , I say they are very wrong and should have a good look at themselves. The ocean can do funny things at any different time its not like the roads it more dangerous no matter what size boat you have . I have also been in many other situations on the water again only because things change very quick, I have learned by these incidence and still keep an eye out all the time. CRUSHER87 yes it might have been have been embarrassing , But at the time I hope people come out help you . I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY IF PEOPLE ARE IN NEED/DANGER ON THE WATER PLEASE HELP, THIS COULD BE YOU ONE DAY. VERY GOOD POST CRUSHER87.
  10. Hello , Yes the Georges river is a good fishing spot at times , I QUOTE I would never eat from there, It depends on what part of the river. Example MILPERRA bridge. Its good to hear reports like yourself, Is it possible to give a general idea/area on what location you were fishing.
  11. Yeh I will be up there next week myself, Some reports would be good. As for me I just fish with plastics near the boat hire place on the rising tide . Good luck.
  12. Nice just to get out , To catch even better, Love the dollies.
  13. YEH nice catch, My mate from work went fishing at port hacking and went to greys point and pumped for nippers last week and he said he got some big nippers there , And got some nice bream. He said greys has the bigger nippers.
  14. Awesome south west rocks the place to be this time of year congratulations.
  15. Wish I was there to see it lol.
  16. I have bought a new boat before trailcraft , Then sold it to buy something bigger. Unless I had money coming out my u no what never ever aging. Second hand boats are the go , Put a new motor on and you are still in front dollar wise. Plus if you don't know what your looking at when it comes to extras when buying new look out , In other words do your home work or ask people on this site who know there stuff when it comes to boats. When I bought my trailcraft there was the same boat as mine up at south west rocks , This guy paid more than me and I got a better deal than he did and this was done from the same dealer LOL. It pays to ask for advice, To save dollars and not get RIPPED OFF.. I myself have quite a big boat but find it hard to get out due to family , work ,ETC. Think hard before you buy big its a decision. AGING IF YOU NEED HELP ASK AND THEN ASK AGAIN its your money.
  17. Well done, Wish I was there, nice kingie. Yeh north head as you coming in close to the headland has that sudden rise I got a 4kilo kingie there once on a live bait , then the other rod went off but lost it , But seen a couple other kingies following what fun.
  18. Hello guys, This is my first post as I am a new member. I must mention that there are some nice fish caught there and crabs. What I think SOUTH WEST ROCKS is one of the best fishing spots on the east coast of NSW, When the water is running right WOW it goes off. But only one down side to it is the bar , But safety comes first. Keep the action coming in, Its the next best thing if you cant go fishing is other peoples catches/photos.
