  1. A zero looks like a donut. The guy in the group that doesn't catch fish buys the donuts on the way home.
  2. Well done Luke. Fish are in good numbers at the moment so your first bagout mightn't be that far away. Wharf Road sounds like a great spot, I've never fished it.
  3. Welcome Finns I typed Manly Dam into the search function at the top right and found a bit of info http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/search/?q="Manly dam"&sortby=relevancy
  4. Haha that's one hungry bream. Enjoy the barbie.
  5. Great bag mate. They are thick at the moment.
  6. Great you got amongst them mate. There are a few around.
  7. Nice going Luke. The first one is the toughest. Many more to come I'm sure.
  8. Thanks for that. Now I think there is a kelp bed. I was too deep
  9. Nice work Adam. That blackfish looks like a little fatty. Well done
  10. I read there were fish at Pyrmont and it was true. Sometimes my float came up and lay on its side as the fish took the weight of the float. It was a down a drift for the rest of the time. I pulled the hooks on about half a dozen and pulled up tight on a couple of sneaky sleepers. I had my bag in less than two hours with a couple of upgrades. The biggest nudging 40cm. Happy Easter
  11. Well done Steve. Good to hear the blackfish make great bait for muddies. I would make that trade any day at $35 a kilo.
  12. Very nice. Loving the One last cast success. Giving the Gary Howard a workout. It's strange how the tide effects these fishes behaviour. Run in tide spot, runout tide spot. Top of the tide, bottom of the tide.... One wharf I used to fish had 4 seperate places the fish would be at different stages of the tide. It's fun once you work it out.
  13. Well done mate. Wish I could have been there. That drummer from yesterday cooked up a treat.
  14. It was a great morning to get out there. Royce had 2 in the bag even before I'd rigged up. I struggle off the stones, you make it look easy.
  15. Woe Steve, I'm glad your on the mend. Giving up the durries is tough, but so worth it. Best wishes. Andrew
  16. I feel for you, we all have days like that. Frozen weed, I'd put it in the berley but wouldn't use it as bait. Persistant downs and no fish I would usually put down to small fish. If you do hook one you're lucky if they are over 12cm. Then again if they're stripping the bait too it could be black trevally. If the small move doesn't pay, the fish aren't there. Make a big move. Don't flog a dead horse. You could be surprised at the success you get at a totally new spot.
  17. Nice bag mate. Looks like some good size too. Wise to get when you did. Well done ?
  18. Barra in Sydney Harbour a couple of years ago. Plastic bag at the Wedding Cake, attracted 2 huge kings 1.2 and bigger.
  19. Pity about work. ? Sounds like a great company. So jealous, great report. Gotta get back to drying my boots by the heater.
  20. A 40 cm fish is a great fish. You did well, I hear the fishing has been pretty tough. I haven't been out for weeks due to work, family and Springsteen. Last Friday I went for weed and couldn't get out on the rocks. The big seas even smash it off protected spots, a couple of weeks ago foot long weed is now a few cm.
  21. Coal and Candle Creek is a tributary off Cowan Creek flowing into the Hawkesbury River Ku-ring-Gai Chase National Park Sydney
  22. Massey Park Golf Club. The canal enters Exile Bay in Concord, a good spot for flathead.
  23. There are plenty of canals around the inner west of Sydney. With the recent/ current rains they will be flowing. Earthworms are a gun bait. They get flooded out of the ground and washed into the drains- canals and the fish are just waiting for them.
