  1. I have a mate that works for Maritime, he used to be on the harbour now is on the hawkesbury. Next time i see him i will ask. I do know he normally warns people for minor offences, however if there is attitude towards him a fine is written every time.
  2. not to mention that sharks have been sighted at windsor as well.
  3. the fish style 1's are good, you can bend the tails slightly to get the bombs to push out wider from the boat, handy if you have to make sharper turns whilst downrigging
  4. the easiest ramp would probably be kymeegah(cooks river) as kings like structure try along the wall at mol pt, all of the markers in the bay, drums, hot water outlet, fish farm etc etc yakkas should be easy berley hard with bread/pellets in yarra bay the yakkas and cowanyoung will come to you. As for what depths to fish it depends on where the fish are. I normally do a trial run past where i want to downrig to get an idea of the water depth there, set 1 of my riggers deep ie 2/3rds down and the other in the top 1/3rd. Downrigging speed is normally just in gear and at idle. hope this helps
  5. if the bass are in the mood you have a good possibility. Also mullet and carp
  6. last minute but can i be added along with my young fella?
  7. ive got a kenwood car stereo in mine, got a waterproof housing off an auction site and hasnt missed a beat. if you get a small aerial extension and wire speakers/power through a multipin plug it can be removed in seconds
  8. if you car runs a catalytic convertor the oil MAY cause it to deteriorate and block up. Seen this happen before a couple of times but the vehicles owners couldnt tell me how much oil was in the fuel Otherwise you have heaps of lawnmower fuel
  9. 5.0-10 8ply 5.0 is the width, 10 is the rim diameter to fit, 8 ply is the tyre construction the 6.5 cm from stud to stud means it is an early holden pattern ie up to HT also same as torana

  17. realistically logbooks wont make any difference, my younger sister had 1 for her car l's and needed 50 hrs, she only ever done about 15 hrs and the rest was just made up
  18. if you do night fishing the gps will be handy esprcially if weather turns bad ie fog/heavy rain. u can just retrace the route that u took to get to your fishing spot
  19. try fishing areas that have readily available bait around, ie oysters, nippers etc above the lowtide, as the tide starts to rise and these areas are accesible by the fish they will come through to feed in theses areas. if using bait, berley to get the fish around and interested in what u are offering
  20. if only part of the course was backing a trailer. I may be slower when reversing than most but i get it done the first time
  21. maybe a little further but blacktown in st martins village in with the rta
  22. seen it a few times before, actually beached myself at 1 of my usual spots. Water is normally 3 ft at dead low, this day it was down to about 18 inches, not exactly deep enough for my boat
  23. John if i remember correctly the VX had an extra for the towbar that braced inside from the shocktower area back to the bar mounting points to prevent the sagging/ bending of the boot area. My old man used to tow a 1500kg trailer for work everyday without a drama in his vt with the bars fitted
  24. Would pay to get an external auto trans cooler fitted as well to help with the longevity of the auto. Heat in an auto destroys them very quickly, ive already learnt my lesson with that one
  25. You can pick up the white pvc pipe in lengths of 4ft from B@#@!!ings
