I understand what your saying, But where i had my ute was a designated area for car and trailer parking, on the left after you drive up the ramp, and there is no sign saying that the trailer needs to go in first. will go down and check out the signs maybe take a few more photos. I went out for an early fish on saturday which turned up 1 squid for 1 king.. Any how returned to tunks park where i had launched only to find a parking ticket for $110 for fail to comply with notice in public place. For anyone who is familiar with tunks there is 2 sides to park car + trailer, 1 is completly bitumen the other is half grass half bitumen, I was parked on the half grass side with my ute on the grass side, The only reason i parked front in was because the other car + trailer in next spot was on a weird angle and i did'nt want to take up any more room then i needed. As parking is at a premium sometimes! There are no signs that say it is rear in only!! the only sign i could find was "cars with trailers only" Has anyone else been booked here before? Hey davy, There are heaps of yelow tail around early morning on both sides of the bridge, best spot would be on the southern side of the bridge. as its easier to cast out. Cheers Dan.

Hi All, Was wanting some input to technique used to catch squid at the spit in sydney harbour, when drifting under the bridge early morning should i be using a padanosta style rig or are the squid up closer to the surface at this time and the weight of the jig be enough? Iam using 1.8 yozuris. Thanks for any imput. Dan.

What you fishing for??? For kings i rip the head off the squid and use a two hook rig 1 through the cartladge then the other trailing in the tenticals. Then with the remaining flesh i cut up into triangals. Leaving 1 corner in tact then put cuts through the rest of it to mimic the tenticals, and hook it up on the twin hook rig same as the head. Works for me!! Dan.

Hey mate, Live yakka!!! I think they are the key to big squid! as most of the big squid i catch have been on yakkas or coaxed up with a yakka, then through a jig at them if there not hooked up. Dan.

Hey all, Bellow is a photo of a squid i pulled from sydney harbour on thursday, This squid managed to land us 6 kings on our boat, wich we kept 1 at 65cm and released the rest. and i gave a chunk of the squid to a fellow fisho who was fishing next to us and was not having any luck with there live yakkas, they then managed 3 solid hook ups and 1 king landed, which we then found out was his first king. which made our day. I know what its like to be surrounded by boats getting hook ups and your getting nothing cause u don't have squid. Hopefully some good fishing karma will come from this. The squid measured 65cm in total length gave us bait all day and still had about a killo for the table Dan. I will put photo of king on diff post as i haven't mastered the resizing. Hey Domza, Yeah! not using that reel again. Good abu garcia rod with a fairly cheap overhead on it! that is the only cheap reel i have and it had to go off like that! lesson learnt. first thing i did when i got home was take the reel off the rod. Dan.

Hi all, Was out at the car park yesterday and got dusted in the morning on live squid. this thing bit straight through 80pound leader after a small fight. My mate hooked on to another desent size fish but took him down under the rocks. Returned about lunch time armed with a large squid and a small cuttle fish, striped up the squid for dead baits managed a 65cm King on my lite gear wich was fun, then dropped down the cuttle fish on the bigger rod, i was about 3/4 of the way down when it took off i even had trouble getting the reel in to gear it was moving so quick, finaly was fighting this monster and i think you no who was winning! I managed to retrive some line but for every bit i got he took double, My drag was pretty much wound right up, and this thing was stiping line so i decided to try and slow him down with a bit of thumb on the spool. Then PING.....!!!!! AGGGHHH.. no more fish! Iam sure this has happened to everyone but i cant forget about it! I caught a 81cm King in the same spot on new years day and that had nothing on this thing! would love to know what it was. Im thinking a monster king or a shark!! Was hoping that someone landed one of them or got busted off as well try and make me feel beter. I think i reconized a couple of boats out there yesterday of this site, my boats the white 4.5m fibreglass with the big Australian flag off the arial withl 70hp Tohiatsu Dan.

G'day Sammy, Got both bonito throwing lures, whilst siting with live yakkas out. 1 of the kings on a live yakka and the other on a strip of bonito which is a new one for me! Just floated it out the back unweighted got nailed with in about 10 mins!!!

Hi all, New to site really loving info and fishing reports. It sounds like im as mad on kings as the rest of you, got out Aussie day for session managed 2 bonito and 2 legal kings 62 & 65 of north head and a few Might get out 2morrow for early squid session b4 work, keep supplys up! Dan.
