Early Saturday Morning Met up with Jase and Dan ( d&g) and jumped aboard hook'm. Managed to get enough squid in quick succesion for a good king sesh! Off to find the kings and have a early morning fry up!!! mmmmm.. bacon and eggs! then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Jasons rod screams off and a beautiful 79cm king is landed,, Nice one Jase! There were a few pickers around witch was a bit annoying but out of nowhere Dan’s (d&g) rod screams off zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…….zzzzzzz holy s*##* this is a biggen! After pinching about 50m of line off him Dan starts to get some back after a short fight a massive surgeon fish at just over 60cm was landed. After a short tussle with the anchor. 11am decided to call it a day! But what a great day to be out on the water! Quick report and few pics, as im about to head up the coast! Friday morning Tim and I headed out 4 a quick king sesh b4 work and managed to boat 4 rats 3 legal 60 63 and 64 and one at 56cm and a healthy tailor at 45cm All were released Chopper Run away squid.. ha ha!!

G'day ceph! Bad luck on the kings and your rig Mate if i catch it ill let u know! i seem to have a way of jaging things off the bottom over the last 6 months we've managed to catch a tld 25 + game rod (wich i got serviced and works a treat), 3 anchors, 15hp johnston outboard motor. a massive drag net, But the ocean still owes us a downrigger Ps. that snag at spot x i caught it!! along with a king atached to it and got back a rig we lost on it!! Was the net i was talking about above! I called it the FAD of middle harbour and put it back down! Dan.

Hey mate, Great to see u out on the water again! and get amongst the kings. tripple hook up would of been fantastic it would of been bacon eggs (scrambeld) sausauge and squid ink and any bits of the bottom of the boat for breakie though See ya out there soon mate! Dan.

Cheers guys! Hey mate, After getting smoked 2 many times over the last few months we fish a combination of any thing from 15lb braid to 80lb braid!! I got smoked 2day on my 15lb bait runner, was unstopable on this gear! but did manage to land a 68cm on my 15lb little bait runner was fun After loosing that fish we bumped up the gear! Lucky we did as the biggens came through again!! Dan.

Hi all, Sydney Harbour has done it again for the boys! Tim, Jason (hook’m) and I set out for another king sesh , and boy did we get one. By 6am we had managed to round up enough squid and cuttle fish for a good kingy bash (after 4hrs on the water mind you) and ink a plenty! SQUID GETTING SOME BACK ON ME! THE OTHER BOYS WERE 6.15am anchored up 3 baits down, Jason wips out a single burner camp oven a fry pan and bacon eggs and sausages and proceeds to have a fry up , boy was that feed good! Halfway through the sausages cooking jase’s rod screams of so im on cooking duties, jase boats a nice bonito of aprox 50cm quickly relised. 2 more kings were boated whilst the fry up is happening. 65cm, 63cm. By now the sun is up, the action continues with me boating another rat king! So that’s a king each boated so far. Over the next 1.5 hrs we boated another couple of kings each ranging from 62cm up to 70cm. Then it goes quiet for half hour or so and we threaten to move spots, then WACK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Tim’s rod screams off yahoo!!! Then WACK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Jason’s rod nearly rips the gunwale off the boat what a double hook up so I was on net duties Tim’s surfaces first and is a healthy 70cm king, then Jason’s is up but not for long see’s the boat then ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz off again after a nice fight Jason’s fish is boated and is a thumper at 91cm his new pb! 1 more rat is landed and then quiet again! Decide to call it a day at about 11am all fish were relised except one! More pics of the day ink every where!!!!! What a great morning we had!! Dan, Tim and Jase.

Nice work Jase!! 10 kings in a day sesh is a excellent boat record I nearly drove straight past jase yesterday i think he was trying to hide from all the charter boats Tim and i headed out to meet up with jase after work but just missed the action, ahh well was great to get out on such a beautiful arvo!! and have a few will hopefully get out sat for some more action Dan. Hey Rob got this one in the same location yesterday on squid!!! loved catching it on my light gear went hard! Pretty wierd eh!! Dan.

Well done greg! I have been looking at a few maps and have found a couple of spots i think might hold kings will be downrigging the f**# out of them tomorrow arvo!!!! As this is how we found the current spot! So guys its all about getting out there fishing heeeeeeeeeaps and trying new things as the fish move around so do you! If you find a good spot take note of why it is a good spot and keep your eys and sounder peeled whilst moving around!! Dan.

Congratulations on your new pb jase that’s 2 upgrades in as many weeks! What another day packed with madness and kings for all. Tim and i managed to boat 11 kings and busted off another 3! Dan = 6, Tim =5 sorry about late reply as i thought the site was down !!
