  1. Welcome to the forums. I myself do a bit of rock hopping as well. Might see you on the stones as i fish the same similar areas as well. Look forward to reading your posts.
  2. Get a 9 - 12 ft rod depending on personal preference for fishing the rock ledges. It would be worth getting a few metal lures to chase salmon. 20 - 25lb leader.
  3. Same story for myself on Saturday morning as well. No keepers on the stones. Hopefully it changes soon.
  4. Burley some bread up in small hand fulls. Soak the bread before throwing it in the water. Green peeled prawns or cook prawns for bait. Small pea sinker on a running rig with a size 4 bait holder should see you catch a few drummer. Just make sure to have a supply of sinkers and hooks as your bound to lose a lot of gear. Just make sure to check the wind and swell before you fish the rocks. And make sure you have the safety equipment and gear before you venture out on the rocks. Also never fish alone.
  5. The Entrance. Plenty of spots around the lake.
  6. Nice little rat king you caught. How much is the hourly parking at Palm Beach?
  7. Great report there, especially on lures. Thats one place i've always wanted to try. Were you fishing high or low tide?
  8. Thanks for that. Saved my a drive down there.
  9. Should have sent out 1 of those gar fish as live bait.
  10. Keep up the good work. It seems to be paying off for you.
  11. you been having much luck. Its been quiet for me.
  12. Nice fish mate. Unlucky there hasn't been more fish on that rock ledge. I did hear Friday afternoon was very quiet with hardly any fish taken and Saturday morning.
  13. I think he means eastern suburbs rocks. I myself have not caught anything yet on the xxx xraps in the 36grams or 56 grams. I have the glass ghost colour and the gold and white colour so i don't rate them much just yet. A coco rig is basically a little squid skirt plastic lure on a 1.5 metre trace to float and sinker setup. Usually a 12ft rod or bigger with a big reel. Takes alot of engery to throw that setup. 8.5ft - 11ft rod setup with a 4000 - 6000 reel should be fine for spinning off the rocks. 15 lb - 30 lb braid. Where do you spin?
  14. Great catches for the middle of the day too. I usually discount fishing during the middle of the day but i might have to change my thinking of just fishing the low light periods. I suppose with all this warm water we currently have any time is worth a shot at the moment.
  15. Those rocks look familiar . How many ppl fishing that ledge?
  16. I have a black chrome one available to sell if your interested. I think its the 40gram one. Used a few times but never had any luck with them myself. I usually use River to sea metals or raiders on the rocks for salmon and tailor. Never spun off the beach.
