  1. Don't mind the mono line on the tld25. Using 40lb black magic line. Works a treat on kings especially off the rocks. More stretch for rough terrain.
  2. Great fish you go there. Never fished the cooks river, wouldn't mind hitting it with the plastics.
  3. How far out did you have to wade out?
  4. never had any luck there myself. only small stuff. seems to be a bit busy there on weekends.
  5. Never fished that ledge before. Good thinking to get out before the tide rises.
  6. Nice salmon. Nothing better than a quick fish before work. Some people have the life.
  7. Top job. Who would of though curl curl. Was that south curl curl?
  8. Where's about are you fishing. My local spot hasn't had tailor for about 8 weeks either. Was getting them earlier on in the season.
  9. Same way you cook bream. Steamed, Baked or fried. Drummer is a nice all round fish, can't go wrong eating it.
  10. When I use mono I use 15lb. Whatever is cheapest at the time. If using braid 15lb n 15lb fc leader. Up the leader to 20lbs if ya getting busted off. Still prefer mono for drummer fishing.
  11. Brown groper I think too. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  12. Which website you sourcing your jigs from if you don't mind me asking. You can PM if you don't want to disclose.
  13. Could be a squid maybe.. explains why you didn't hook up.
  14. 1st thing you should ask yourself b4 fishing the rock ledges is do u have all the safety gear? Rock cleats, never fish alone etc.
  15. Time to re spool your line. Nothing worst then losing fish on gear failure.
  16. Nice bonito. Caught one of similar size last week.
  17. Nice kingfish there. So the water is still warm. Have seen a few garfish around last weekend also. Plenty of bait in the water. As noted the south eastern suburb ledges are one of the dangerous ledges in NSW. Stay safe everyone.
  18. Tailor seem to bite better before sunrise or just before sunset or night time i find. Keep at it and persistence will eventually pay off.
