  1. Id be geussing a many linned sweetlip but its hard to tell from the photo. Defenitly not a groper IMHO
  2. Great read, wheres the photo of the 85 one its not comming up??
  3. These kind of crap debates about killing more sharks and reintroducing commerical fishing and increasin catch qoutas particulary for Kings and Salmon are so frustrating. Guys please be very careful with what you say to media and on open forums about shark numbers etc. Media love to twist words around to imply that we are being invaded by sharks (it sells papers) pro fisherman love to hear media reports about invasions by sharks because it helps lift bans and increases qoutas. BE CAREFULL when talking up shark numbers it will back fire on us all
  4. Hey mate I had a great arvo at that spot too when I saw you guys as well but I wasnt tied of to the marker or caught for undersizes fish. I left pretty early in the arfternoon though. The kings at that spot are unbelivable ATM well done

  10. Heres a few of my favs First one is of a massive storm about to hit as we ran back from browns Second is a photo of the Giddes river deep in the gulf of carpintaria Third is a few pilot whales that came up and circled the boat one afternoon after a fantastic day on the kings And the last three are photos taken a few minutes apart as the Sunset at a place called Dhuyinair in Arhnem Land NT
  11. I was up near the Clarence after new year and the stench from rotting fish due to contaminated pollution runoff after the floods at christmas was unbearable. The state of the river was a disgrace! The old girl might of died of old age but looking at the state of the river I would be putting money on pollution playing a big part in her dimise.
  12. Great fish the photos look great shame it didnt swim away though

  16. Going off this guide used by long liners for judging YF Tuna weights your fish should weigh around 18 to 24kg depending on where you mesured from
  17. I can garuntee it would have been some nice snapper picking away at that cuttly its almost a given. Next time try pitching an unweighted white stick bait next to the cuttly and hang on. Say G day to Adriain fo me at stryker tomorrow

  19. Nope. A much maligned and under rated eating fish. Not a huge amount of meat on your avearge sweep but with 73 a true feast.
