Myself and brother in law were out yesterday ,had a good day on the kings had to work for it though (downrigging every spot we know of ) didnt get a touch on pint sized yakas , squid did the trick , the water is so discoloured, and temp has dropped , I wasnt expecting much. didnt see to many other boats landing kings like usual. though When we were cleaning our fish at tunks , a small did tinny pull up out jumped two blokes with 6 kings (nice ones to) all caught on squid they said. Better luck next time cant wait till it clears up. Cheers Guy

The good thing about a console is wind protection on a cold morning for your body and face and definately your hands. All the gauges are right in front of you and even a big bloke will fit behind the console because the seat is far enough back to allow you to sit comfortably. The seats that Polycraft supply are so comfortable you dont feel any bumps at all,even when you get a bit airbourne over very large chop. Spot on. Console also gives you something to hold on to (hand rails) when hamering through a decent swell. I feel a bit iffy in a tiller steer when it blows up a bit.

Mate go the polly , ive had several alloy boats sea jay , quintrex ect -ive just purchased a 4.55 centre console pollycraft with a suzuki 50 4 stroke ,plenty power , verry impressed with the ride ,high sides , tough as ,would never get another alloy boat again, for the money pollys rule hands down. cheers and good luck Guy

G,day mate we got 3 rats from 60 to 63cm around the markers today on squid. Also seen a few chasing our baits up to the boat. our kings were released of course being undersized. Petty about the two blokes beside us in the red boat who hooked and landed 2 that looked around the 55cm mark and were quickly stashed away in there boat I cant stand seeing that s#%& But what do u do. The new legal limit is 65 cms for Kingfish and thats all that will be said about that. Be mindful of the Site Rules. Yes, the bloke at the antique shop sells squid (frozen) and makes a killing at $30/kilo. His market is jewie tragics like myself. Don't let him slip you any pink ones though.
