the 8000 i got as a combo with the beast master rod 10-15kg. The 4000 i bought to go with a Crony rod 7ft 1 peice 8-10kg. these reels are designed to go with Powerpro braid line which is also one of my favorites.

I call the Shimano Baitrunner the Hilux of reels. Unbreakable lol. I have the 8000 and 4000. Cant fault them

What their talking about in tuggerah lake is just stupid. Close off the area between chittaway point up to tacoma with no plans to open the entrance channel. So the whole lake is basically a closed off swimming pool. Their plans will have no positive results in that area -

Im going on the first day (thurs this year) my boss gave me the day off cause my mrs got the tix for my birthday. Gotta love an understanding boss Also very interested in the dive part this year. Huge pools on the roof for testing kayaks sups and different things

Has anyone been to the boat show in sydney? What are the best days to go? I imagine the weekend would be packed and probably the first and last day as well.

Whatever you find, just dont use edible prawns for bait. NSW DPI have been all over social media saying not to use edible prawns for bait because of white spot disease. White spot is fine for humans to eat but kills the local prawns if they get it

I've been super lucky with my boat, a double blow up mattress fits on the floor between the sides perfectly. Its almost 'glamping' I couldn't believe it.

Thats pretty much what I've been doing and it works well just looking at something a bit purpose built. There's been a lot of floating tent style pics getting around and they get me thinking.

Chucking the Bimini is definitely on the cards, even considering a hard top with roll up canvas sides/back, clears around the front and half way down the sides. Might even make the top fold over onto itself to open up more deck space when needed. All good ideas, just need to decide and budget.
