  1. A great discussion Gentlemen, Can anyone explain why that particular location has suffered so much rust compared to surrounding areas and how the rust can be prevented please??

    Thanks, Hoods

  2. Hi All, I received ours by email. Neil will be happy with the high output of Murray Cod fingerlings.

Regarding the Jewfish I saw some drone footage of a large school of quite large Jewfish, <1m, in a mid north coast river last month in what we thought was a large breeding event. Well we hope so anyway as the stocks were not looking good untill last season.

  3. I like Zorans style. Mate has the travel buddy in his boat and we do pies over winter (well actually most of the time). Always get a laugh when other boaties are on the radio thinking they can smell the Bakery after we go past.

Lots of us use the single burners up at Eucumbene to do breakfast/lunch on the water due to early starts. I  put mine up the front under cover and try to protect as best as possible from the wind. Its a freshwater lake so no need for a thermos. (Plunger coffee on my boat)

  4. Maaate - I cannot make it through your list!!!! The poor girl will be in sensory overload. Why don't you get here a Beer - with Duncan (I love to have a beer with Duncan)

Your lists are very comprehensive but you have forgotten The Bush mate. I bet you don't have a Pub with No Beer.

Thanks for the Thread - I'm in trouble for playing your music (too loud).

  5. Geez Neil, Why do you ask such hard questions!!??

I agree with Bluefin "Lure Fishing. Vic McCrystal (?) once said " A Lure is a Lie told to a Fish "   I love the feeling of a fish hitting a lure. I love the anticipation. I love searching , Hunting for my fish.

A fly fisher from Wagga once described fly fishing for Trout as "the artful deceiver" and I find this form of fishing is quite addictive

I am thinking the favourite form of fishing is the one we're enjoying now. Problem is as we get older our early fishing experience carries more nostalgic "weight"

Your question is a bit like asking an angler why they fish (bit like the poem Mulga Bills bicycle) - anticipation??

    Hope you are keeping well.

  6. Hi Mate how did you go with switch panels??

I'm in the same boat er situation now refurbing the Haines. Looking at rocker switch style but wary about quality purchasing on line.

    Would appreciate your thougts

    Thanks

  7. Can I suggest you take out insurance for the water skiers - can you imagine their reactions as you trundle past down the river?? I think some might run up the bank in fright.

  8. Thanks Donna - an oldie but a goodie.

As the upgrade to the boat nears completion and the year is getting on the question was posed earlier today - When can we chase Yellowfin??

AND so a quick search of the site produced the appropriate professionally presented I must add, information required.

So a big Thank You for posting the above.

  9. First of all - good luck with your choices.

I can only add that "we" have broken half a dozen Zings - I still love them but....

I replaced one used for snapper plastics with an Atomic Arrowz 12-25lb and cannot speak a bad word of them (and it has not broken - yet)

I fished a Penn Slammer 4000 and penn rod combo out of the river once it would have been under water for maybe a week. Hosed it off, oiled the roller and it hasn't stopped working.
