  1. Yep, spent many hours in machines in the MIA listening to that on the radio - 2RE and Wagga radio at night.

May be one of the reasons I have become so cynical of all politicians. I am not biased - it applies to all 3 levels of government.

I did enjoy the inuendo. The Comedy Company was also prone to taking the piss out of them.

Tight lines BN. More rain up here.

  2. Well done. Its a fantastic place to visit.

A lot of history on Broughton with the shacks etc V National Sparks & Wildfires. There was a cow on the island for many years which washed up on the island after the big flood in the 50's.

If you're leaving the cove in a southerly stay away from the southern side as the waves stand up in close - I saw a bigger glass boat lose its rods out of the rocket launches when a couple stood up on their way out.

More importantly - did you catch any fish??!!

  3. I agree with DerekD, I have had the same frustrating issues and it came down to 2 things. There is a small crack or damage in a rod guide breaking the line or the line is wrapping around your tip. If it wraps around your tip sometimes you will damage the rod.

Otherwise check other appendages on your rod as I lost a few trout lures to line catching on the hook keeper and breaking.

Had this discussion up at Coffs last week in a big tackle shop - the advice was to run pantyhose through your rod guides and look for anywhere the pantyhose catch showing evidence of runner damage.

    Good luck.

Also your floating lures should resurface and available for retreival

  4. Congratulations on your hard work so far.

In life it is great to have choices. Some people don't get that chance.

The more education you have the greater your choices in my opinion.

I went to an Ag College and had "no choice" being 3rd gen.

If I had to choose i would look firstly at resources at the facility including industry standing/ability to be employed at graduation and nearly as importantly the culture.

It is your peers who will help you through the course and more importantly build those relationships that become sooo important later.

    Good Luck

PS My Grandfather gave me some advice - The harder you work the luckier you seem to get  and.. Good Players make their own luck

    Don't waste it

  5. I would try along the waterfront in Tea Gardens around the boats and jetties (close to the coffess shops!!). Otherwise anywhere along the water front for mullet around the bridge and along the river in Hawks Nest is accessable. There is a fishing shop in Hawks Nest that are helpful.

    Good luck.
