  1. If 5 stud, most likley HT holden pattern. If you have the plastic white or silver guards they are available in 10", 13" & 14" and your support spacing on the spring hangers will need to be at differnt spacing to accomodate. Also check offset as Johnno has suggested. As long as your GVM is not over 1000kgs you can get 13" 165 low profile tyres which will not have a huge increase in rolling diameter and may squeeze under current guards.
  2. That'll do me can you PM where the pro shop was?
  3. Thanks Stumpy Yeah got the bag. Thanks for the heads up re genset, i had no idea. All i want to do now is go away and fill it with fish
  4. Thanks all As usual fantastic assistance. I will check out the sharpening systems 1st because there isn’t much point getting a good knife if I cant sharpen it! Once again thanks all.
  5. I am looking for a good quality filleting knife, or kit any suggestions? Was talked out of buying a Kershaw many years ago and regretted it since, are they still good knifes?
  6. Hi All Just bought a Waeco 50 litre 240v/12v fridge, it is the older model that uses the seperate power pack for 240 volt. Is there any tips or advice any body can give?

    Dunbogan

Mate fantastic spot, you should definetly take your boat. I could not imagine fishing there with out one. A 4.2 is perfect size for up there, i have 5m and get around just about every where. plently of sheltered spots.
  8. Mate Great boat Great fish Great part of the world.

    Rod Storage

Oldsalty Go see GO Fish at Dural, when i was there before xmas he had the Berkly ones in stock. He is a fishraider sponser and has an excellent shop.
  10. I never thought to run a flag when snorkling of the back of the boat! I will have to pick one up, and run it of the aerial i suppose. Thx
  11. Go to main menu and try a search you should find heaps of info on the hawkesbury. Cheers
  12. Mate rotten luck, cheer up a big kingy trailing a 6ft rod, reel and tube of alloy shouldnt been to hard to locate on the sounder
  13. Hi Clappa I think fellow raider "Boban" has a a 550 or 600 with a Honda 135 on it. Try pm'ing and asking.
  14. I know this ramp and waters, wouldnt be much fun at night,
  15. Mate dont spend the 3K, go and check out the 3cyl evinrude from Huey. I stand to be corrected but the 3 cyl OMC will be based on the larger 70+ HP models and will be a rock solid motor. If it has service history and huey checks it over you will be ahead of the game. spending money on cheap motors will never stop. And there is nothing like confindence in your O/B as you drift in that great spot towards rocks!
  16. Lead wiping as it is called was still taught in colleges a few years ago. In fact under certain circumstances it is quicker than bog because a panel can still be "knocked" out after lead has been applied where as it cant after plastic filler. In saying that some of the modern plastic fillers are amazing and should not be compared to the crap that was around 20+ yrs ago.
  17. Hi Ross What way do you use to get to Rose Bay M4, parra, west city link and cross city tunnel? Thinking of taking the tribe for a trip on the harbour during the day, but getting there from BM doesnt excite me.
  18. Hi luke Thanks for the photos, it does look easy to drive on, I was going to talk to south coast trailers about a custom. Boat looks great too, did you build it?
  19. Mate Pete is right, as much as it would be great to have an ex Navy PT boat fully armed at times, dont risk taking issues in to your old hands. I have thought several times about keeping the old handycam on board. I dont think you would even need it working, the minute the clowns thought they were being filmed they would beat it for sure!
  20. Hi all, happy New Year hope all had a great break. Successfully managed to drive the boat onto the trailer for the 1st time these past holidays. Got it to with in 700mm of the winch post, before it kept wanting to move right. I am still considering a new trailer and was wondering what features if any make the trailer suitable or better to drive on and off (i.e. retriever mate, rollers or vee entry to the trailer)

    Engine Lock

Guys a locked up piston in the cylinder is when the rings rust on to the cast iron bore of the engine block, this is serious and if successfully freed there is unrepairable damage done to both the rings and bore. Your best chance is to have the motor stripped and the bore honed and new rings fitted. I would take up Hueys offer and get it sorted ASAP.
