  3. Thes are Raiders favorites So Far Blackfish 5 Snapper 3 Flathead 2 kingfish 1 Jewie 1 Bass 1 Mangrove jack 1 Anything 3 This thread could end up a good insight on what we love targeting
  4. The colouring and shape on that snapper is insane
  5. Better off keeping for bait
  6. Good job getting rid of the pests💪
  7. Yes bn fully agree its more the narrative than the end result😁the scenery the environment the time and the hard work is what makes a fish/species memorable. And also the fight😀
  8. For 150 your best bet is shimano sahara which is a very nice smooth reel and quite durable
  9. I either own these or have been recommended the following- Shimano sahara 1000, $150 Daiwa teirra LT 2000, $180 Shimano ultegra 1000, $239 And ci4+ are exetremly nice to use
  10. Yes definitely my second favourite, i now try and catch then on as light gear as possible and wow they always suprise
  11. Hello Raiders I will start it off and tell you my favourite species in the ocean is the jewie because no matter if its the amateur catching a soapie or a pro pulling in his monster, the amount of work and time etc is always surpassed by a feeling of satisfaction with the jewfish. Please reply and tell me YOUR favourite species in the ocean? And why?
  12. Ok good luck if you see bustups throw 10g gillies metal lures on a lighter outfit at them because that size bait is what they will be most likely chasing, look forward to seeing the report
  13. Hello Luke, You are better of using baits for jews than hardbodies. Drifting with baits on the bottom in 10metres+ water with baits such as squid tailor slab mullet yakka slimies etc u will hav a chance at jews but check out the jewfish threads on this site they will inform you I would troll up around north head, south head, around the wedding cakes and around manly as they are generally easy to get bonito taolor salmon n kings on big rapala deep divers. Although for these you will have to implement a faster troll than for flatties
  14. Good read, always entertained by your great stories😁
  15. Hello Raiders, I have been viewing fishraider for a year or so and only just decided to sign up. I am a 17yo male and a keen fisherman from the sydney area. I have fished for many different species and these are (my) best catches (probably nothing compared to yours)- 94cm jew, 96cm kingfish, among many other kings n jews and species such as sharks, flatties, bream, squid etc. I have loved fishing ever since i was about 5 and go every chance i get. I go 50%boat based and 50%land based. I use the sydney harbour, hawkesbury and pittwater systems.
  16. Well done on two very nice flathead👏👏
