  5. Hi raiders. I found out a little while a go that with-in the last month or 2 there was a 101.5kg (and that is weighed) Big Eye Tuna or a Southern Bluefin Tuna caught off Sydney, all i know at the moment is that it weighed in at a whopping 101.5kg and that it was either a Big Eye Tuna or a Southern Bluefin Tuna from what i know and from what i have heard from a reliable source. I am just wondering, does anyone know anything about it at all or have any photo's or know the lucky angler who caught it? I do believe it as i heard it from someone i know and trust. cheers.

  16. Hi raiders, can someone or anyone please tell me how you would go about rigging the big Gulp 6 inch worm's and how you also would work and retrieve the worm's? the new colour's in the Berkley Gulp 5 inch Jerk Shad, I am sure that they will also be comming out in 7 inch to at some stage soon, would i be correct in thinking that? has anyone tried and had any success with and on any of the new colour's in the 5 inch Jerk Shad? Thanks
  17. Hi Raiders, this may be not the forum to put this on and i apologise, but the subject is on soft plastic's or soft plastic mania and i have a question for the raiders who know, or who could advise me, or please help me out. I am going to get my self a soft plastic rod and reel, i am not sure yet on the rod but the reel i am going to get is either a stella in a 3000 or a 4000, or a Daiwa Hyper Certate Custom in a 3000 or a 4000. I want to be able to use 4 to 7 inch plastics with various size jighead's for both shallow and deep water for snapper off all size's and pearl perch. who would get which reel out of a Stella or a Daiwa Hyper Certate Custom and in what size a 3000 or a 4000? which as i said i want to use for snapper all size's when i go to Port Stephens off shore, and to also be used in NZ with plastics for the big and monster snapper they get there. could or can someone or any member's please help me out? who think's which reel is better or which reel is the best one out of a stella or a Daiwa Hyper Certate Custom? thanks.
  18. one small kingy is what it is, i can not and do not see it being an amberjack, i may be wrong, but i am very positive it is what i called it for a small kingy. there is no way and it is definately not a black trevally.
  19. what a cracker red , well done. was it caught off Sydney?
  20. yep they will be, they are still out there now.
  21. yes i honestly still knew it that the fin were and are still out there. and the proof is right above. a nice fin there .
  22. nah Richard no need to be arnie, we'll stop and land them mate. Sam.
  23. not saying this to be rude, that's fishing. I went out with a mate Sunday last week down south, there was 3 of us and we got some pan size snapper, a few pesky leather jacket, and a nice mowie. I got a PB snapper, just a tad short off 55cm's and going 1.8kg gilled and gutted which i got it weighed at FishFinder it has got quite a big bump. I know for a fact myself that the fin are still out there they are spread out though and to prove my point a good mate of mine who has and own's his own tackle shop, he spoke to someone a charter operator, and all he (my mate who work's in his own tackle shop) told and said to me was- a charter operator took a group out and i do know that they were cubing, they raised some large fin (i do not know how many), they hooked one, the angler fought it for 2 or 2 and a half hours on 24 which i do not know who the angler fighting it was, they got it to the boat, the deckie put the gaff in and i wish i was there but i wasn't and they lost it at the gaff, i do not know how they lost it. the fin that i speak off it was estimated between 70-80kg's, no smaller, no bigger. 70-80kg's. i can say two things, 1) i'm sorry for the angler who lost it. and 2) I'm glad in a way it was not my self cause i would not off been a happy person at all, no question about it. had it off been my self and also depending on how it was lost, i would be
