i need tips and advice of getting jewfish. i havn't caught myself a big jew yet and on the thirst for it. where do adult jew hang around more so...... on the beach or in the bay in sydney region. i live on the georges and heard its good at captain cook.... i've read that jews are very picky with bait.... so can i just get my self three different live bait, squid, yakkas and tailor and it would def hit one of the three. what time of day, night, moon phases and tide work better for jews?? deep holes better?? which beach have more jews?? and wat rig... light or heavy running sinker with how much trace? thanks guys! went yesterday avo and caught lots of fighting taylor (35-40cm) on pillies on the sans souci side of botany bay. if i known they were on the bite there would have kept some live, stayed up all night and thrown them in for jew to take them.

yea looks good on a high tide on the south side. seems to be a deep gutter where that rock platform is.

i used these driftying on the georges river near como bridge and botany bay on the towra side and at the ferry whalf at meadowbank. on the boat i was casting in front and slow retrieval. i used a green squidgy fish and a brown fish. when i was at botany bay i was targeting flathead and near como bream and flathead. maybe wasn't good day to have fished. though i did get a flathead on the drift with prawn. when and where would tide effect? like i've caught lots of fish on the beach on run up and run down tides. and how does barometric pressure effect fish? i heard bout it but not sure why and how. thanks for your replies!

just come back from narrabeen and was a very quiet day!! was on the north head rocks for a bit and picked up a few blackfish but not worth keeping. moved onto the beach maybe try to pick up salmon but quiet and only got 2 small blue swimmers. lots of crabs about!! someone further down the beached picked up a taylor. anyone been fishing on the next beach north of narrabeen?

hey guys! this will be my first post. i've just bought a few soft plastics and havn't seem to had any luck with them yet. my question to you all is after (estimate) how many casts would you be on to something? cause maybe i dont have the patients..... advice would be great!
