  8. well last weekend my minn kota burnt out and i've been forced to change my fishing routine. left my lures at home and grabbed a few hooks for a live bait session. packed a few beers (not out of routine) and was in search for mullet. it took a while but found them. drop one down 1hr before sunset with jews on the mind. 5min later landed a 78cm flattie deployed another into the depths resulting in a 76cm 10min later one more livie down with another 76cm landed. sun was down by now and had a few solid hits. i only had 1 beer left and small mullet so i decided to pull the pin. no jew but had some fun all flatties released
  9. staying local this weekend. just play in the hacko and b/bay. my electric burnt out last weekend. got it to QLD by monday hoping i will get it back for the weekend but i only have a few hours left. not looking good. this weekend will consist of live bait and trolling lures/live bait

    Help!

it doesnt i have had my boat for 11½ months and clocked up 207 hours. remembering i was away for 3 weeks and the boat was out of action for 1 month. thats about 4.8hr per week my mate over the back told my girlfriend that she's lucky my boat hasnt got a vagina
  15. very possible. i was reading one of starlos articles on eps and actually tagged one in an eastury and it was re-caught in another up/down the eastury. so these puppies travel outside at times. but they must dodge the pro's nets while doing this. a major threat
  16. bucks party at huskisson charter and beers on friday and beers and beers on saturday and sunday
  17. sorry to disapoint you knapers and rob but im drinking rum
  18. not sure if i'll get outside for a fun little salmon run due to weather. might just hang out with my wang out in the hacko
  19. i did the same trip last november. actually we departed on the 20/11 the boat does about 6-7kn when cruising. perfect speed to throw out a few rapala CD11's. we got a few spotted macs doing this. there will be hords of mac tuna so take small profile metals and chase them down in the tender provided. most schools we found were in cid harbour and out the front of hamilton harbour there is a creek at the back of cid harbour (dugong i think)........cast sp's or bait onto the coral drop off for coral trout, spangled emperor, sweetlip and all types of cods. the creeks on the south end of hook island (nara & macona) are good for chasing fish in the shallows if they go to hamilton harbour, tell them to fish off the back of the boat. got some good estuary cod, goldspot cod, tusk fish, small gt's, grunter and more. and tell him to take heaps and heaps of beer its needed
  20. mate, they were everywhere. they didnt rise until about 7am but when they did they were everywhere. we travelled basically the whole beach and found schools between 1-4km off the beach.
  21. yeah, i have travelled a bit lately kevvie but all that has come to a grinding halt. i'll be stuck in the shire until february. SWR for 2 weeks cheers beef, we had a ball but would of loved some LT's. might try for a weekend stint in the coming months
