  2. Man I didnt even have any pain killer with me . But atleast my home made outriggers worked. . Thanks mate. Next a big blue. lol But on a tiagra50 loaded with 24kg and a wind-on not a (tld25 with 15kg with rod lenth 100lb leader... )
  3. Hi all Went out off botany bay yesterday. water was flat as could do 30knotts at times. Ran out to the 70fathom mark and put out the spead. Trolled for about 2 mins when we came across a nice temp break (went from 20 degress-24.8 degress). As soon as we hit it off went the left rigger. The crap thing was it took a tld25 with 15kg with the cheapest lure. So i grab the rod and line was peeling off at speed. The other boys cleared the deck. I was just holding on. The fish didnt jump or anythink She just stayied straight down. So anyway it was just a tug o war id get line then she would take it back. This lasted of an hour Before we had our first look at it. A nice stiped marlin. Now to cut a long story short. I fought this fish for 5.5 hours Before a had to pass the rod. The fish stayied about 150 mtrs off the boat the whole time.. So my mate with fresh legs straps in for his turn. Off she went again. After another hour and a half we get it to the boat she stayied about 2mtrs the whole time. we took some pics and she ran under the boat and (POP). So in total it was a 7 hour fight. Im not sure on the weight maybe 100+ But on a sports fishing set up not bad. By the end of the fight we ended up east of the southin canyons. Towed us all over the ocean. But Something ill never forget. And today im still feeling the pain. Next time (no tld25's) haha. Benny (Bender/Anakiwa) ill Post some pics soon.

  16. The best thing to put the S-Factor in is an old film canister. Saw that on the S-Factor dvd. No spillage there. i fit about 3 packets in it. You can get them from photo shops cheap i used to put my jig head's in them before and write the size and weight on the top. Benny.
  17. Thats partly true. I got 2 of them and drop 20. . See i taught him to well. Now he out fish's me. But i made up for it on the kings on saturday. So there Arman. lol
  18. I reckon it works. I have been using it for the last week and a half and so far i cant fault it. I have even been putting it on the gulps and atomic as well as the squidies and been getting more and more fish. I fished the oyster racks with a mate on wednesday i did one drift without it nothing, while cam was using it and getting fish. Then another drift with it. BANG almost fish a cast. So what can i say. But i find you need to redip every 10 or so casts. But its true you first need to find the fish. Cause it wont bring them to you thats for sure. Benny
  19. Was a great day out hey cam. Hopefully next time we can get into the bream and the kings. .Lots of bait fish around in big schools all over the bay. Looks like a good summer seasons coming. Cant wait till next time. P.s. I like the jumping flattie that ya hooked as well. Has anyone seen a flattie as soon as its hooked jump straight out of the water. i thought it was a salmon at first the way it jumped before i seen it. Benny.
  20. I reckon the best way to get ya cubes away from the birds is to take a 2 meter or so peice of pvc tube hold it in the water and drop ya cube in it. (maybe fix it to the boat some how). It will sink inside the tube and fall out the bottom deep and away from birds (just a thought). Cheers Benny.
  21. I have a stradic 1000 with 6lb braid on a raider rod and i have pull kings, salmon, tevally, bream flatties on it no problems. i love it its my fav. I also have a mitchell avocet 500. with 1kg pretest on a dropshot rod and thats great for bream and flatties. even landed a 1.1kg friget mackeral on it. I like the 1000 size in the stradic cause its light and you can cast it all day long. Cheers Benny.
  22. Great fish there mate. Maybe next week u'll get that bigger one. Good luck. Its good to see fish like that inshore. So anyone can have a crack at landing a monster. Well attempt in some case's. lol Cheers Benny.
