  2. I was sitting at home once, cops came around. They asked me my whereabouts of the night before & i said i was in bed. They said can anyone prove that. I said yeah my missus. They then said there is a warrant for my arrest. I aksed them what i had done they then told me that i was in kings cross the night before driving a nissan skyline and had hit a pedestrian! I was crapping my self. My dad then clicked and backed me up saying that he saw me at home. The cops then told me that i was there because a witness had said that i was there and i did the crime. At that point in time they wouldnt tell me who said that, i kicked up a stink and demanded who did they said it was mr ******. What was funny is that mr ****** was a old mate from years ago. He was only 17 at the time, i rang his pop who was a old army genral. His pop rang me back and said it all ok. His pop dragged his butt down the cops station and made him confess that it was him. Even though i didnt get in strife i now have a small nitch on my name.
  3. Yesterday was a awesome day to be out on the water. I shot down the coast to the Van at Huskission and took out the little row boat tinny. I caught the tide up river whilst flicking on the way. I was throwing N.W Pencils at snags and prongs at flatties. The river provided allot of protection so there was no breeze at all and the water was still enough for a popper to be heard ages away. I didn't bother fishing the flats because there was no breeze and the cold clear water down there didn't help a sneaky fisherman either. The pencil produced the goods first with me coming up tight on a few salmon trout, although juvenile they provided a bit of fun and were easy to find. They are as much fun as choppers but are better to de-hook than that mouth with a fish called a tailor! The prong produced some average lizards but nothing over the 35cm mark. The river system in Currumbene creek is healthy and this was my second home as a kid, where i gathered allot of my skills. Its a beautiful river system and in the warmer months produces some great bass in the upper fresh reaches. I got home last night from the coast and just needed one more flick, so i picked up Ben and we set of for a Bream fish after checking knots and leaders were perfect we flicked around some walls and old sunken jetty's. After about half an hour we both landed a fish each. That one moment when the line goes taunt and the fish takes off like a drag car is just awesome, you know its a bream. Cam
  4. Hodgey Jnr Well done! Thats a great session, your learning from the best. Congratulations and a top effort. Those fish look nice and will look even better on a plate! Cam

  9. Greg, thanks mate i appreciate that small lesson, big help mate! I have alsways followed that technique of flogging the same lure, if nothing hits in 10mins its time to change no matter how much you love that lure Cheers again Greg Camo
  10. We fisherman are a weird bunch Roberta thats why..... I think you could have a good chance of getting connected to a trout maybe......give it a go
  11. Yeah they dont give a rats! I have been in port kembla harbour late of night and they purposely pass right on top of you just for amusement. They all stand on the back deck watching a we dissapear in every trough. Bloody bloody scary stuff
  12. Hey all, I am looking at using these new blades to muster up some Bream. Has anyone used these yet? If so any sucess ?. I have heard that most guys use the dull colours for Bream is this a good idea? Cheers Cam
  13. Geeeebuzzzz Hodgey! Thats a beaut EP Hodgey, guessing its a female. Awsome Bream too! Great fish mate, well done!!! Camo
  14. A big to fishraider thats a Solid effort small fry Its great to see someone get their first fish on plastic, i remember mine. I caught a flattie on a mister twister fluro double tail plastic on the fluro lead head that was when i was a little tacker! Mate i know how good the feeling is when you catch a fish on a plastic or a lure, especially if your targeting a species and thats what you land. Its great! Well done champ and keep us posted always of your catches. Good Luck Cam
  15. Hodgey, thats a good effort mate I have tried the around the bend trick before too. I remember on afternoon up currumbene creek chasing breambo's it was blowing a gale but the creek bends sharply every 100 or so metres so i fished the sheltered bends all day long. Hodgey have you ever used resin heads for Bream, i have used them but find they can be too light. Whats your thoughts? Good job anyway hodgey
  16. Thanks for the insight Byron, just like my first popped Whiting & Bream if i put allot of time & effort in i should prevail to land a Jewfish on fly. I have seen photo's & read articles but i guess all i have to do is use the right fly in the right location. I will start with the usual Jewfish addresses & go from there. I have colors & patterns in mind just unsure of fly size. I just think a little confidence boost from fellow raiders with a photo or story wouldn't go astray......
  17. Hey Guys, Look i have searched the forum for this information but no sucess. I know its been done and some guys have cracked it but has any raider ever caught a Jewfish on fly? If so a photo and some information would be appreciated. Cam
  18. Riding out the back of Berrydale on the weekend (30kms from Jindabyne) i took these photo's. Its beautiful country out there, very quiet & peaceful too. With view of the snowies in the background
  19. Hey Pete, All we caught were flatties all day & those two 50cm were the best out of the day, i caught about 16 fish my mate did the rest. Cam
  20. Couldnt waste a nice day yesterday so we hit up the Shoalhaven. There was a Boat Show on at Greenwell Point local ramp so we ducked around to the smaller ramp to launch. Its was about 1:30pm by the time we got the lines wet but within 10 minutes the fish were coming aboard. We were flicking Atomic Prongs (cliche i know but they work!) We fished the racks in sheer denial that there would be Bream there but not even a hit.... We drifted Comorong wall and up around Orient Point and then later in the afternoon around near Greenwell Point Bowlo. All up together we landed 35 fish with my two identical 50cm being the biggest of the day. While flicking & drifting we throw out a plastic just to bounce while we move; my squidgy killer tomatoe got smashed while doing this. Great day altogether & great fishing. Cheerio Cam
  21. Hi All, I am curious to find out if there are any raiders in my area that like to flick lures for all salt & freshwater species. The reason i ask this is sometimes i would like a new fishing mate to ride shotgun just for the reason of exchange of a few tricks and some fresh company. If you live in between Buli Pass & Kiama Bends please add a post with a few introductory details. My name is Cam, i live in Albion Park. I love to flick lures for any salt & fresh species (jew, bream, bass, lizards etc...) I usually have a fish every afternon and frequent Port Harbour, Lake Illawarra, Minnamurra, Shoalhaven, and most other creeks & estuaries. I will chat about fishing until the cows come home . Thanks Cam
