Im using Nitro 1/32, #2 hooks Yeah the waters been a bit dirty recently, no idea why.

Hahaha, I hope so ! I'm currently using 4lb Fireline and 8lb vanish, so combining 4lb fireline with 4lb vanish should result in more takes I wouldn't mind hooking up to a kingy or a jew, even the initial run would be enough haha

Went down to Gymea bay for another landbased session hoping to land some more bream, action was a bit slow at the start until the tide was almost max, started off with a 2" natural shrimp and landed a nice 33cm flounder. I then proceeded to land a 27cm bream on the same 2" shrimp not long after Later on during the day I switched to a 2" grub and caught this small red I've been using 8lb vanish, and I have a feeling I will get ALOT more takes if I dropped it down to around 4lbs, so next time I head to the shops I will be adding much lighter line in to hopefully catch some more of those nice bream!

Yeah, Ive heard of that, something like reaction strike or something I will give it a go next time if things arent working

Yeah, I'm starting to distinguish the different takes from the bream, now I'm more keen to get out there and try again Keep at it beginner, the hardest part is keeping your lure in the water, most people just stop and throw on bait after a few tries, just have to keep your eye focused to see if your line twitches even that tiniest bit because it could be a bream just taking it lightly

Finally landed my second legal bream on SPs, it took a while but I am starting to get the hang of targeting Breams with plastics. This one was caught on a 2" grub in pumpkinseed last week On the 10th, same place, same SP pattern, I landed another two bream, one just legal and the other in the low 20s, however I forgot to bring a camera with me

I put all my gulps in an airtight container, I have all my gulps mixed in with the juice I got from the Gulp Alive container

Thanks for the replies, Roberta, have you tried to impart the walk the dog action to this lure? If you have can you give me any pointers, I gave it a try but the action doesnt seem 'right'

Hey, I was wondering with Polarised sunnies is there a difference between brands, like do more expensive brands result in greater visual images, would you be able to see more with the more expensive brands? Are the specifically designed sunnies for fishing better than the everyday polarised sunnies ? Thanks.

I caught this fish at Port Hacking - Wallys Wharf, I have no idea what it is, sort of looks like a Sergeant Baker. It was caught on a 2" Shrimp on the bottom.

Hi, I was looking for a new reel primarily for lure fishing, targetting the usual estuary species, bream, whiting and flatties. I mainly fish the Hacking, Georges and occasionally the Harbour off wharves/landbased. So I was wondering what reel do you guys recommend around the $100-120 range, I also have the possibility of purchasing a reel from the US as my parents are heading over soon. Thanks. Also I will be matching this up with a 7foot Starlo Stix

I'll have to go give Mainbar a go sometime soon, if I was targetting the usual trio, bream/whiting/flatties, would it be better to fish the nippers AT mainbar or perhaps travel somewhere else, e.g. Lilli Pilli / Gunnamatta? Is this the road that leads to the sand bars? Also is there anywhere else on the Gunnamatta/Lilli pilli side of the Hacking that produces nippers? Thanks, Ray.
