170 in total, i got 3 entered in the comp, 1 i caught after the comp, and lots of undersized fish

  3. 26cm Bream on a 2" Berkley Pumpkinseed Grub back in 2006. I was casting the lure out in some weedbeds in Burrill Lake. I still use this lure to this day and it always catches me a feed. I was 11 at the time
  4. There really nice drawings, i'm with Greg. I can't draw for the life of me, i'm really jealous of you guys !
  5. Was up there last week at the club overlooking the water, thought the fishing would be good in there but never got the chance to fish it, ripper whiting mate !
  6. Top feed of fish mate and great read
  7. Nice Kings, the rats still put a good fight up ! I need to get out to Long Reef one day, i was considering going soon. Fishing the Flathead Classic on Lake Illawarra so that should be good
  8. I'm gonna get it re weighed anyway and get it under 250kg when time for rego comes up, i'll let it run out, so hopefully that does it. If not, i'll talk dad into selling the trailer and buying a new one. It seems like alot of hassle but i'm sure the upgrade won't be that much, i don't wanna risk anything
  9. Leo: Dad was saying that, might have to get it weighted anyway and change the rego over Gazza: When you put it that way it might be worth it mate, only 10 minute drive, thanks, i'll let you know how i go
  10. That's awesome ! well done mate
  11. Thanks mate, might sound like it's worth a chance Thanks mate, i think i'll just risk it, seems like i should be alright
  12. I've been told the same thing mate. I've been told as long as i drive safe and responsibly, if i get pulled over i act nice, then i should be fine with being over 10kg. Nah mate, it's unloaded weight. Which refers to just the weight of the trailer. There is no limit for what is on the trailer. My tow car will be a vx commodore sedan so i should be all sweet there. Cheers guys
  13. Hey guys I'm turning 17 this year and i'm getting my P Plates. My dad has agreed to let me sell my tinny to buy a car and that if i wish to go fishing, i can tow his boat. He is willing to teach me how to drive towing and doing some reserving at a ramp on a quiet day. Now the only problem i have is that the trailer weighs 260kg unloaded. The limit for Red P Plates is 250kg unloaded. It would be a shame to have to sell the trailer and buy one that fits under the 250kg law. Is it possible to get the trailer down 10kg, get it put on a weigh bridge and have the weight changed on the rego papers? I have a spare wheel, brakes and metal mud guards on the trailer, if these were changed and the spare wheel was removed do you think i'd get the weight to 250kg ? I'm not sure if the trailer was first weighed with the spare trailer on it or not.. Thanks guys
  14. Everytime i go pass the heads i always log in mate. It's always an added back up
  15. What a thing to see, that's awesome mate, can't wait for a video
  16. Ouch ! and i thought the hook in my chin was bad
  17. Went down to Windang today to give the big boat a run and to take my uncle out for a fish. The day started at 9AM and ended up 5PM.. it was a beautiful day out on the water, hardly any wind, sun, clean water, not to busy and heaps of fish.. We got lots of undersized Flathead, all around 35cm (unbelievable, they were all Dusky haha, threw them back) and one legal which went 41cm (got him on my favorite soft plastic) We got not even kidding close to 20 Whiting all around 25/26cm.. we managed two that were a few mm over 27cm so in the keeper net they went While fishing i hooked a Blue Swimmer, and knowing it would let go of the bait i reeled it in really slowly, not bringing it to the surface. I got my uncle to get the net under and behind the Crab and into the net it went. I was lucky as in the net the Crab let go of the bait haha. Then when we decided it was time to head in, making our way to the boat ramp in the 4 knot zone i spotted another Blue Swimmer flowing in the current. I drove around it slowly but the tide was really ripping out. It was hard to get near the crab without it moving. It wasn't playing easy to get but after a few goes my uncle had it in the net.. Thanks for reading my report, not a bad feed. Two legal Blue Swimmers, Two legal Whiting, One legal Flathead, alot of undersized fish thrown back in and alot of fun
  18. My dad mentioned a bream comp up at Forster in a few months so i might be up there for that ! in the morning and the afternoon after the comp i should be setting crab traps and checking them, so i'll take you for a run in my boat and show you the spots and try and get some Mud Crabs for your dinner ! you'll be surprised, they are closer then you think. I'll PM you before i come up. Thanks mate, Forster is a top spot and we've been going up every year for 5 years. We'll be going that for many years to come i am sure of it. Those Atomic plastics in Pumpkin Seed are always my first 'go to' lure.. I got a 40cm Flattie down at Windang today on one infact. I said hi to the family and they said hello back Yeah, of course i remember you haha, that's good man of course i will
  19. Think mines pretty realistic, i'm only 16 and i already have a 2005 model tinny with a 8hp yammy on it, so this boat is on the card when i get the cash in many years time
  20. Thanks guys, sure did Flano, best tip is to fish early in the morning when there is no wind, that's when i got 80% of my fish
  21. Hi Roberta You're not wrong there ! to be honest i got all my fish within no more then a 5 minute boat drive from the park. I got most of my Flathead around those racks ! I was trying to call you while i was up there but i have a new phone with no numbers and with hardly any access to the internet i wasn't able to get in contact with you. I was spewing about that but it sounds like you wouldn't have been able to head out anyway. I hope your hip gets well soon so you can get some of those fish ! if you ever want Muddies, when i'm up Forster next i'll show you some of my spots i have found and if i can catch a few i'll give you one ! if you like eating Muddies that is
  22. Ouch. That hurts mate. I like how you didn't blame your missus even though she put them there, you're a strong man and respect for that. Hope some good karma comes your way, you get some new gear and catch some awesome fish.
  23. Thanks guys, it was awesome ! i fished Forster keys quite often and got some nice Flathead from them
  24. Got some nice bream around 30cm Even got some Flathead landbased And over the 2 weeks ended up with around 8 legal Mud Crabs I had a very good holiday and i really enjoyed this one. Half the day fishing, the other half swimming, or running a muck with my mates, friends, and some girls. I could not have asked for more and i am really disappointed to be home haha, but we're booked in next year again. So the count down starts ! Sorry for not having a detailed report, the days were long and i can't even remember half the mornings i spent fishing. There was too many ! but i got 18gb worth of fishing videos recorded on my camera so i'll make a video or 2 up and post them on youtube as soon as possible ! Cheers and hope you enjoyed my report.
