  1. Dont even think about it. You go to Bali and fish your guts off. Good luck.
  2. Fishing is always better than working.
  3. Congrats on first squid. Well done.
  4. Remember bardi, Craig from Huett will be the guy to advise you of anything about boating. Most of the dealers Ive talked to, they just wanted to sell and most of the time they are clueless of what they are talking about. Theres a few of them out there that will steer u to the right direction.
  5. Thats a nice thumper from the old good Thames Wharf. Congrats!!!
  6. Good catch. Now ur stocked up for the week.
  7. You are running too much oil. You will tend to see a bit of oil running out with the water especially if your running too rich.
  8. I meant that it would have been good if you hooked it on your sol. Heaps of fun.
  9. Good one Mike. It would have been good catching them on the sol2000 but its more than $150 and probably u wont have luck on it too. U need to replace all ur expensive gear with the K->>>> ones and possibly ull pull them into ur tinny.
  10. Better than nothing. Atleast your cannot say u just wasted ur time again. LOL
  11. Those jackets will bloody eat anything thats in or on top of the water thats why they grow quite easily. Atleast you got yourself some pan fried Jacket.
  12. Ritchie, I wouldnt really tow above 500kgs. 700kgs would be the max but youll have clutch(m/t) or band(a/t) problems quicker than you expect. Worst come to worst being a front wheel drive, normally the diff breaks down into pieces and thats when the big money comes in. Get a tinny. Way lighter, cheaper in petrol, you wont worry about rot, low maintainance. If it gets to choppy anyway, you wouldnt want to be out there as it wont be to comfortable. Ive got a 17ft halfcabin glass boat (still on the side of my house) took it out 3 times in 4 yrs. Got a 4.3 tinny last year. Took it out every three weeks since September. The more the boat is cheaper to run the more you go fishin. Reg, JON
  13. As long as you got proper maintainance done regularly and properly you shouldnt have a problem. But there is wear and tear thats gonna happen w/in an engine and all other moving parts that causes friction. It wont run forever but it will just slowly reduce the performance during the years it gets used. It can go after 1000 hrs or it can go 20000 hrs. It really depends how your engine will adjust to other parts thats got friction with. As for the electronic part of things. Most of these parts are transistorised or parts that will generate heat during its operating periods. Where u got electricity u got heat. Heat that is generated more than the electronic part is designed to absorb will generally will break down overtime. Thats why there is a term in electronics close / open circuit w/c is commonly used. For example you hooked up a fish(close circuit) you started reeling it in and the line broke(open circuit). No connection no fish. Its like no continuity(line) theres no current travel(fish). I hope I enlightened u a bit that no mechanical or electronic part will last forever. These parts has their own life span and no one can dictate whats going to happen. Cheers, JON
  14. Those are a couple of nice Reddies your mate EVAN got there. I reckon hes got to much practice from NZ.
  15. Congrats and that one nice lookin red you got there.
  16. Good Size Chopper u got there. Thats gonna be tasty.
  17. Well done Penguin. Looks like those inkers didnt like u at all.
  18. Thats one top king. great catch
  19. AWESOME!!!! One question. You didnt take that dogtooth with u in the bedroom? Didnt you?LOL
  20. There should be a print on the blank saying the line rating and how heavy can you cast.
  21. You dont look at the kilowatt rating but you look at the torque that the engine and drivetrain can exert. Its like diesel motor vehicle that would have 100 kw but has a torque of 450 - 600nm. I hope ive enlighten u a bit.
  22. Thats on hell of a scare. I wouldnt even know what to at that point. Hard not to panic. Someone should invent serrated props for this type of situation.
  23. Good luck with the reno. Im just imagining you with all the sleepless night, falling asleep at work and taking alot of time at work. But at the end it will be all worth it!!!
