Heading upto tweed heads/ gold coast on the 15th and was just wondering if anyone can refer me to a good charter?
Want to chase some pelagics
No billfish !!
Oh an also are my chances high of getting on board good or are they more then likely booked out?

Yeah we came across mumma and trust me nothing else came to mind besides running...I have allways been scared of snakes for my whole life but i got the urge to pick it up(i shouldo left but i couldnt help resiting)..there was no way i was going to pick it up if it was agressive in any way..it was very strong for its size..the muscles are amazing..

Allright i have given you fellas some preety easy ones now lets see if you can get a toughy (well i think it is)
This place was amazing..we watched tuna of over a metre jump and smash bait fish 150m off the beach and also watched salmon chase baitfish through the wave face and actually pop through the face of the wave and get airborn..100's of dolphins aswell

I think there has been a little too much rainfall at the moment and lot of them have been swept back down to where the fresh meets the salt . .give it a few days for them to travel back up there or target them at the salt/fresh meeting place...bass love hot sticky weather so this weather isnt all tht for them..
shallow diving lures are good for the area you are thinking of because it aint tht deep at all !!
But if they arent on the surface try deeper diving lures !!
Im no expert, so there is plenty of knowledge floating around us fishraider members im sure..

Great report mate..Sounds like a top trip..hopefully helping out the catamaran you will have some good luck next time your out on the water

Sounds like a top little trip fella's..
If your drifting the lake you should try whacking an 8/0 through one of those mullet rigged up on a handline..you never know your luck, if you kept doing it every trip im sure something would nail and keep you busy for a while..
Good report

Bass in small creek systems with 1kg line
or bream because they fight just as hard and more of them around..
Jews are allways in the back of my mind though..lol
soo yeah i cant say i have one fav species really lol
-
Picked Hb's because i preety much suck at sp's and that Hb's you dont have to work to the lure as much as an sp..
Live baiting is allso up there !!

I am no expert on the stones of the nth'n beaches but i was brought up fishing on them and the beaches with my grandpa and dad who was local down that way for majority of his life..
the spot you are thinking of is little narra fishn allso know as turrameta or something llike that..
A few of the spots i believe that are good start would be nth and south whale -- usually plenty of live bait around the area with your normal pelagics caught from here quite often..gets the crowds on land and plenty of boats that like to come in close..nth whale is usually a safer rock platform with the swells and has access to much deeper water than the south side..
Avalon aslo has access to deeper water and is beaut snapper and kingy spots but is a bit of a bitch to walk into but thats what rocks fishing is all about isnt it
Sth bungan,Mona and Warriewood are also good snapper, bream and salmon spots but i allways have trouble with snags there but it could just be me..
If you would like a few more spots or want me to be a bit more specific send me a PM
cheers,
Rob
