  1. gday, heading up to stocko for a bit of beach fish over saty arvo/night and sunday morning..I have never fished there before and was just wondering is there any perticular end or area of the beach that fishes better than other parts?..Any advice would be apreciated..

Will be trying my luck, spinning in the day for sambos and tailor and then move onto the jews at night and if there none about i have some big stinky mullet slabs for some noahs or anything stupid enough to take it :1prop: ...hopefully in for some fun..

    Rob..

  2. Nice fish ... have they bred yet?

Yeah they have once but i couldnt of been bothered to scoop them all out or put the fish into another tank, i raised all the ones i got in the tank atm from 1cm fry and it has taken around 7-9 months for this fish to reach this size of around 8cm but still have a few runts that are only 4cm?

    Rob..

  3. haha woops you just reminded me of the 3m limite :05: i have been down to at least 10m with it and no problems from what i can see..i think i may stick to the shallows from now on though as i couldnt afford a leakage or damge to the camera at the moment..

  4. The camera that was used in the photo's is the Olypmus - µ-mini DIGITAL which is 4mp and 2x optical zoom and cost around the $399 mark i think and if you find the right deal you can find a package with free water housing..

Great quality camera i reckon :1clap::1clap:

P.s These pics arent strait off the camera they have been touched up to bring out the quality and the light better...

    like so...

  5. majority of the pics where taken at shelly beach,Manly with some others taken around the Nth'n beaches..

Most of the fish hang along the drop off and rock walls squirming in and out of rocks and are ALLWAYS there, i could stay there all day and watch it but gets a bit chilly this time of year..

just remember no fishing permited here :1prop:

  6. Its millions and millions of tiny little jellyfish that where on the first 30cm of the surface, when i first put my head under the water and saw it i allmost shat myself as i though i just entered a shark feeding frenzy.. :074: and then to my relief it milions of jellyfish of some kind..some of them also gave off a tiny a sting but you could put up with it..

  7. Cheers guys lots of good info in there.. :1clap::1clap:

Yeah the conditions seem to be looking good for when im up there, hopefully ill able to get a fish in before the southerly change and then fish it a day or two after it as it usually has paid off before..

And totaly agree about this flatness does no good for surf or rockfishing, ive turned it into my bait collecting period

Thanks for your help fellas and hopefully ill be able to put it all into use..

If not is there somewhere within a 15min drive worth it?

You are a deadset classic joe :074::074::074::074::thumbup:

Good luck Georgy boy !! :1prop:

  10. A few weeks back i headed down the sth coast for a bit of surfing but of course my luck the swell died off as soon as we got there.. :ranting2::074:

Didnt matter to much in the end as the mate who came down with me had relatives at narooma and we stayed there for a few days..my mates uncle just happened to be the skipper of one of the whale watching boats and we where fortunate enough to be invited out with him, where we witness whales swim under the boat, breach etc..also witnessed a mass schools of bonito, kingfish busting up everywhere around montague island smashing the helpless baitfish but as he was on charter with customers on board we couldnt wet a line.. :(

After watching all the action he had to drop some of the customers off to montague island for some kind of tour on the island and while they where on the island my mate and i got in the water and swam with a few of the seals and also spotted a few kingies..top fun..

Must admit it wasnt the smartest of things to swim amongst a seal colony but i do not regret doing it now as it was breath taking to see how curious these fella's are towards humans..weaving in and out of your legs... :1yikes:

    A few pics below..
