hi all raiders just thought id show you all a beaut cobia weighing 11.5kg nailed on sat in hawkesbury it fought like a demon til the end my mate was fishing for jew but will gladly take this home as a replacement cheers to you all ...the big jew have gone quiet the last few weeks oh well always during the week to temp them out...cya all out their go the hawkesbury ...........il bet hes was keeping company with some big kings not so long ago...

kevvie it was a smaller comp this year last year their was 350 odd people they were late out with forms and it was usually held in february but as you said the river has slowed a bit since we had a lot of rain on coastline over the past weeks at nite which in turn stirred up the river like yourself had all confidence is getting a 20 odd kilo jew but no luck let me tell ya he was extremly lucky to win at 16kg the past years they all been 25kilo and over i got third heaviest with a 22kilo last year and big paul won with a 27-28 kilo fish and his mate got second with a 24kilo on handlines it was tight but all in all it was a great comp congratulations to youon your win and it was good to see a young 7yr old win the boat well be back next year bring on the hawkesbury classic in november its the best one of the year hey changa heaps of prizes/ people /beers /free boat giveaway for being at draw/and some very big jewies mean while bring on the weekend friday off cya all out their..............................

howdy bob dont know if you know about the fishin comp the weekend on the river but it was quiet to say at the least but more so the thought of 200 anglers tossing baits all over the spots you mentioned and no to forget the many kilos of burley thrown in as well. will have some what of a effect on the fishing for a few days it was quiet in the day but come nite it came alive as for the trawlers i know their a pain i see them all the time believe me ive had my run ins with them they wont move for you so save your breathe it will get ya no where its a sad fact for us all we love seafood so much we rape our systems inshore severly yet theirs thousands of kilometres of water outside that people think is untouched by trawlers well let me tell ya you wanna spend a nite fishing offshore its just as bad only the boats are bigger and the attitudes are even bigger ....................

immersion is my fav not that i really watch alot of them but this dvd is awesome packs of jews around 200 all around twenty kg massive kings snapper sailfish the lot two records broken for spearfishin were obtained whilst the dvd was made it was shot on nth coast nsw in 2003 it just makes me wanna go fishn now..........

hi mick il bet the young bloke was gutted i know the feeling mate as for the times fightn fish i have caught jewies to 35 kg as ive posted previously and im the first to agree they run like hell but im yet to have a jew fight last longer than 10minutes to be honest i once had to up anchor and chase the bastard around juno pt one sunday arvo in november 95as he spoled me down to backing......... i know beach fishn to boat fishn is different i think alot of people fail to realise this mick. as for the record its 42.5kg taken in the hawkesbury in 92 i think i know this as my mates dad is the was the old weigh master and he brags about it til this day i also seen the cast at killala bay at freddy the fish moulders the word is it was on not heavy gear and the whole of spencer caravan pk was out front chering him on ......fact tel ya son mick hes waitn there for him when the timings rite

yeah i spend my holidays at umina every year and put in at patonga im at the river most weekends and yet i still go their in my holidays i love the place..............

remember novice the worst days fishin is better than ur best day at work ...............

heres the pics as promised from xmas trips a few jews a few crabs and and a good holiday alround best jew for xmas holiday was a very fat 18kg cleaned on day 2 when only one fish was caught he was a nice fish beaut colours on him . and the dayone i threw two jews back that were 66cms and still managed four keepers biggest 7.5kg cleaned what a differece a day makes hope you enjoy sorry i not posted earlier but computer playing up cheers moonie...........happy new year to u all

thats right joe it was donated to the kids and 150 dollars was raised from it we thought they could do with it more than we could ...all money went to a little boy called sam suffering from a disorder it was well worth it to see him benefit from a small amount of money.......heres to you sam and may you get well again....

hi all raiders with weather the way it is we still decided to go out fishing last couple of weeks been great with glen bagging the winner of the del rio comp with 22kg jew so this week the challenge was on again to get that 40kg jew he didnt show up but his two little brothers DID...........THE BIG ONE WAS 27KG AND THE LITTLE ONE 19KG IT WAS A GOOD TRIP ONE TOO REMEMBER CMON THE WARMER WEATHER LAST NITE WAS A BIT COOL BUT THE COMPANY IN THE ESKY MADE UP FOR IT AS CYA FELLAS ITS OFF TO BED FOR ME.......FOR SOME MULLOWAY DREAMING ...

mate its like a religion for me and even more so for my mate we havent missed many weekends all year including winter and as you said a bit knowledge helps too... as soon as a 40kg monster comes out we will go back to chasing those big unstopable kings from syds outer ledges glad you like em all ...cheers guys as they say fish hard or go home.....

hi all raiders heres the pic as promised taken sunday morn before weigh inn... in too much of a hurry to get their to post it before well here it is my mate glen took out heaviest fish with this it weighed 26kg whole and 22.5kg at comp weigh inn gutted another 20kg jew took out 2nd place it was a good comp the del rio classic enjoyed by all well hopefully they keep coming keep ya posted ....on ya glen ...again..
