I have a 4.5m Stacer runabout which is showing a full tank all the time. I took off the floor to access the fuel tank and removed the sender unit. I am not familiar with these units but it seemed to be missing either a float or a "spiral". I prodded the inside of the fuel tank with coat hanger wire to try and "feel" if there was something at the bottom. Could someone please confirm that the sender unit below is incomplete? My fear is that there is something in the tank that shouldn't be!

Hi Dazzlar,
Im new in boating and forgive me for asking dumb question? What is "bommie" or "bonnie" or "bonny"? Can't find answer from my iphone dictionary. Sounds like bommie is sort of White water area near the rocks? Pls correct me if wrong.
Cheers Phil
Phil,
bommie is short for bombora which is "an indigenous Australian term for an area of large sea waves breaking over a shallow area such as a submerged rock shelf, reef or sand bank"
Glad your OK.

Congrats on christening the home made lure.
If you are looking at making more of those lures, I believe Ricky Ponting has a couple of spare bats with very little use he might want to part with
