Is Roseville pay parking like Bayview?
Tuffy.
Great news on the upgrade.
Roseville ramp is within a national park so parking here is $7 / day or you can get an annual multi-park pass for $65. Bayview is run by local council.

Now that's a great session Dogtooth
and you were limited to four kingies only due to the lack of live bait!
Has Mick asked when the next expedition might be?

I backed the boat down the ramp at Shoalhaven Heads and as I opened the car door a woman says “careful mate…it’s real slippery” to which I replied as I stepped out of the car and placed my thong on the ramp - no worries, I was here yesterdaaayyyy….THUD. Down like a bucket of spuds. It didn’t deter me from fishing but hell my thumb started to throb. Thought I should see the doc ….after I finished fishing off seven Mile beach, cleaned the fish, washed the boat and had a shower (yes in that order). At this stage my shoulder started to ache as well…Doc asks – “How did you hurt yourself…playing footy?” as I hobbled in…I replied - nah went for a fish this morning!

That's a shame Slinky ! As a result I foresee a Gulp sale $$$$ as their sales will decrease substantially now
From limited experience, I think that the main cause of the leaks is a combination of not resealing the packs properly (easily done when looking for a quick reload) and not having the packs upright. I have my packs upright in plastic ice cream containers, which limits spillage.
I must admit though that the scent is starting to grow on me……

I Have a Minn Kota 55 Terrova on my 4.50 M runabout and it is a good electric. I have the hand remote control instead of the foot pedal, and it comes with the autopilot. The remote control is awesome. You can stand anywhere on the boat and control the motor with a push of a button.
Hi chopper75,
If possible, can you post a photo or 2 of your setup as I am thinking about an electric for my 4.5m runabout
? I am interested in the placement, shaft length and what alterations you may have had to do to the boat. Any tips would be appreciated. I was in a big chain fishing store recently and unfortunately they were not able to give me any definite advice. PM me if you prefer.
Sorry Ceph – don’t’ mean to hijack your thread….and good luck with your decision….

Hi Raiders,
Just a quick report from last Saturday on the Georges. Weather was great but fishing slow with a few undersize whiting caught. Did manage a nice pair of flatties for the mate to keep as he ended the day with zip. Should feed his
and littlies. Caught on 1/8oz jig head on 2" prawn in nuclear chicken.
Parts of the river was noticeably polluted with all sorts of artefacts floating on the surface – really had to focus to avoid them or risk damage to the boat.
Water police cruised past at one stage and nabbed three jet skiers speeding through an 8-knot zone
. Next bend in the river I had to pull out some James Bond manoeuvres to avoid three speed boats coming the other way…whoaaa...those things can really move.
With the colder weather approaching it appears that the fish are starting to go off the bite a bit in the estuary (for me anyway). Might be time to try my hand at the dark art of black fishing!

Nice afternoon session Ray
. I find it interesting that you caught the bream on 30lb leader when latlely I’ve been trying to go as light as possible to nab those buggers
. The squid must have been too tempting!
Great close up shots too - the bream appears to be looking straight down the lens.
