  1. In the interim while I work something out...could they just be ties to the back of the trailer? Dan
  2. Thats exactly what I have decided to do, BIAS have them now for $67 made out of plastic and 1.5 mtrs wide with a mount hole on either side, only thing is I am not sure how to mount them..do you have any pics or suggestions on how to mount. Also there are magnetic ones from Super Cheap Auto, anyone seen these...does the magnetic work ok? And thanks for the offer wetpatch. Thanks Dan
  3. Ahh great suggestion!...but I don't have a soldering iron , have already resolved myself to not going. Where can I get new lights?
  4. Well, Supposed to be going to the Western Sydney Bass 1st Bass comp tomorrow morning, but silly me decided to check the make sure everything work, wouldnt you know it..neither brake light or parking lights are working, blinkers working though. So after much stuffing around trying to get them working and 3 hours later not even a flash have thought it best not to risk a boat on a trailer without brake lights or park lights at that time of the morning and coming back that time of afternoon. If anyone reading this knows about trailer wiring..i have checked the rear trailer lights, which now look like they should work after some super glueing as the plastic inside which holds the brake light connections were broken on both sides, and also checked the terminal which attaches the trailer to car and the inside there look ok...any suggestion on what else to check? Thanks Dan

    Kayak Pics

Here are some pics of the new kayak, picked it up last week...
  6. Well, 2 weeks ago I ordered a Kayak, and having 2 rod holders fitted and an extra hatch, as well as some other accessories. So hopefully I will be picking it up and having a go..dunno about fishing from it just yet...but here is a pic of the same model but fully decked out. http://www.fishingnoosa.com.au/swing.htm Dan

  8. Ah....thanks...I went down there on the weekend for an hour tossing a hardbody around..didnt get anything but was walking on the sandy areas.
  9. Where your BMs weighted or unweighted?
  10. Hiyas, I removed the cover off of my mercury 50 2 stroke today and found a screw rolling around, upon further inspection it appears that it had come from a black plastic cover convering the carburetor?...(looks like a blockhead with 3 holes approx 5cm diameter in it and when moving the accelerator opens and closes a flap inside them.) This cover was fairly loose and was not stting up against the 3 holes..so my question is would this have had an impact on my performance or fuel usage?...does anyone know what i'm talking about..and what does this thing do?[hb] Thanks Dan
  11. Its always worth going fishing.....even if you don't catch anything

    New Club

Yep, I was there as well and have never been a member of any clubs, well am now a member of my first one Sounds like a good club with good policies and they will look after and assist those who have never fished for either species..be it bream or bass as well as those with many years of experience, I myself have never fished for Bass and am definately looking forward to it. Met quite a few people including Dave C, and of those I met all seemed down to earth and willing to answer or help out with any questions. So come and check it out, its open to Non Boaters, Kayakers, Canoers, Boaters etc...the more the merrier I say Looking good, was a good turn out as well....
  16. Got some a few weeks ago at ABA in Penrith, and the muscadine color.
  17. Maybe it is the dirty water then...as the noise seemed to be much more pronounced, when i got the boat home i turned the sounder on again and it was only a very slight ticking that could be heard, also in clear water you don't really notice it...swoffa you may have hit the nail on the head...guess ill find out next time i get out there as it should be clearer water by then. Thanks.
  18. hmm...I unscrewed it last night from the sternplate and the clicking was considerably softer...ill have to take note at different depths next time I am out.
  19. Ahh ok Great, thats good to know..thanks guys.
  20. Heyas, I have a Lowrance X-125, have had it for a few months and it has been brought to my attention that it is probably not supposed to ticking like it has been. The transducer is transom mounted on a plate, but there is a sound coming out like...click....click....click....sounds like it goes each time the beam sends out a pulse..is this normal..or have I faulty transducer/sounder? Thanks.
  21. I bought the book as well today, looks interesting lot of info. Even had it signed by Starlo
