  2. Funny thing is swordie IS a fantastic housekeeper. When I arrived home today 2 loads of washing had been done, dried and brought in. The floors were all washed and cleaned. Dusting and beds made and the back and front lawns mowed. A large garden bed had been weeded and new shrubs planted. He picked me up from the station all showered and shaved and ready for dinner Isn't this what all men do?????? Cmon gentlemen get with the program.
  3. This event is a goer keep this date free and watch for a detailed post in the next day or so
  4. That sort of platitude stuff does not really work you know - us women see through it all. Real women buy a fishing website (they love to be the boss, yes) and get lots of people to join it The majority of the people that join are men (just like yourself Matt) and can be removed, banned, stopped from posting or making any impact at all. Now Nanook, I will pm you my address for you to send me the DVD's, flowers (roses will do), a signed cheque for the shopping expedition and the weekend away and other sundries

  6. Here is a link to the organisation that now comprises of Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Association, the Volunteer Rescue Association and the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol. MARINE RESCUE NSW
  7. The Marine Rescue is exactly that, concerned with rescue and promotion of safe boating practices. It is NOT a towing organisation. They get pretty cross when people use them as a towing outfit. It is up to all boaters to make sure their vessel is seaworthy before going out on the waterways. The NSW Government announced in November 2008 the establishment of a new volunteer marine rescue organisation to be called Marine Rescue NSW. Marine Rescue NSW is an organisation comprising of the unification of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Association, the Volunteer Rescue Association and the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol. Here is the link to the website MARINE RESCUE NSW and a e - zine called SOUNDERS Marine Rescue NSW will be as dependent on community fund raising as the existing three organisations. Whilst the NSW Government provides around $1.4 million a year for capital, mainly boat replacement, and will provide $3 million in transitional funding operating costs comes from community fund raising and other contributions and donations. So please keep on making your contribution and keep these volunteer services going - for safety's sake! Here is what SEATOW does Sea Tow Services Australia is dedicated to providing members with a variety of on-the-water services, including multiple area towing, fuel drops and jump starts, prop disentanglements and more.Sea Tow can professionally test your battery on water and should you require a replacement, we carry Exide Stowaway Marine Grade Batteries plus we have access to the entire Exide range at discount prices to members. Sea Tow not only provides marine assistance but will go the extra mile to make your boating experience more enjoyable. Should our members be boating in unfamiliar waters and have a question about sand bars, shoaling or weather conditions, or just need a restaurant recommendation, a qualified team of Sea Tow professionals are standing by ready to assist. With the cost of commercial assistance as high as $250 per hour, Sea Tow wants to ensure its members always have unlimited protection.

  9. Martin is one of our members and has a wealth of experience in such matters. Some of you may have met Martin at our last soft plastics workshop. Take a look here at MartinthePom's website and a recent article in Fishing World Below is what he sent me to post up and attached is a PDF of the submission NSW Rec Fish Inquiry.pdf I was recently asked to give evidence to the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into Recreational Fishing which is due to report at the end of this year and has been looking at the controversial issue of Marine Parks as well as how angling representation is organised in the State. My full submission is attached but set out below is the section on Marine Parks and a summary of recommendations. I am suggesting that there is no good reason why some forms of recreational angling cannot be allowed in the Sanctuary Zones for indentified permit holders. If you support this approach write directly to the Inquiry Team or even better to the Committee Members. If you want to stop anglers from being locked out of prime fishing grounds in the Marine Parks then it is time make our voices heard. I hope this will make a difference Best Wishes Martin Salter ( MartinthePom) You may contact the members below or The Hon Robert Brown MLC via email address fishinginquiry@parliament.nsw.gov.au or the address for written correspondence: The Director Select Committee on Recreational Fishing Parliament House Macquarie St Sydney NSW 2000 Fax: 9230 3416 Members Chair: The Hon Robert Brown MLC Deputy Chair: The Hon Tony Catanzaritit MLC.
