  12. The weather was spectacular and it turned out to be a fantastic day. The little beach at Burrawang Reach was soon filled with raiders boats. We registered over 90 raiders and they were split into 8 groups. The instructors were GregL, Dan BUBBA Frost, stillrockn, slinkymalinky, jewhunter, Mick, Hodgey and Mako who did an excellent job of teaching their pupils the gentle art of soft plastic fishing. After about 2 hours of instruction, raiders jumped into boats and went off to practise their newly learned skills. Flightmanager cooked us sausage, onion, bacon and egg rolls and the coffee and tea kept us warm until the sun started to work its magic. Initially we had a problem with the fishraider BBQ that was not working. Johnno saved the day and went with Mako to collect his BBQ from his nearby house. Global Tackle turned up with an array of rods/combos and lure packs. I saw several raiders walking away with some very nice purchases indeed. TTLures sent us a selection of blades and jigheads to hand out to the participants. Mr David Duffy from Viva Tackle came along and very kindly donated a Lox Rod and some Lox hats. Each raider received a raffle ticket and the rod was won by Martin who was extremely happy. We even had a visit from the local fire brigade and the park ranger to ensure we were all happy. Bubba took lots of raiders for a ride in his lovely red Skeeter. Thank you to everyone who helped us today, Cath, Peita, johnno, Reggie the Rabbit and anyone I have forgotten. Here are a few snaps as always.
  13. I am sure we will all have a great time meeting all the raiders. Thanks Geoff for keeping us up to date. Fishraider headquarters is busy with slinky, jewhunter and hodgey here for the weekend. The food and drinks are all packed and the instructors ready to instruct. Don't forget to come to me first to check in and grab a name tag. We have fr hats($15) and boat stickers($15) and some limited edition fishraider t-shirts ($20) for those members that want to purchase. The boys from GLOBAL TACKLE will be there with lures and combos to buy if you so desire. Bring it on, let's go fishing Cheers mrsswordie
  14. email me that pic to fishraider@iinet.net.au I will attach it and let you know what the issue with it is. mrsswordie
  15. Yes I understand this problem Sean. Swordie had to choose between Farmtown/Farmville and fishraider. He had several farms and our whole life revolved around reaping harvests and getting a mansion!!!!!! Lucky he chose me and fishraider Seriously, please make sure you do not spend too much time on here. The problem with fishraider is that it is very active and posts change by the minute across all areas. Other fishing forums are lucky to get much change each day with only one or two fishing reports or threads of guys just arguing or talking rubbish. Our content on fishraider is diverse and plentiful. Get your wives to join us here. It is a safe place where they will not find any offensive behaviours and will be treated with respect. Perhaps I need to make an Oceanville section or Marinaville where you can go buy boats and upgrade. Lureville would be a big hit too heh heh. Hmmmmmmm....................
  16. If I gave you the statistics on unique hits and average stay on site you would be amazed. There are people that are logged in here day and night (apart from me and swordie) I am also seeing that they are logging in on iphones, ipods and all manner of devices. I sit in the train each day and see people logging in on laptops and have a little laugh to myself Fishraider is the most popular fishing forum in Oz I reckon and its all about our great members who share info and help each other. Make sure that you spend time with the family too though, please!!!
  17. Ohhhhhh stop it evets lmaooooo There is a solution GET THE WIFE A LOGIN and join her up. I need some new female blood on here and if they are puter literate I will make em moderators Better still bring them along to social on Sunday!!!! They will soon see why we are a big family on here mrsswordie
