  1. Well done , thats a great catch for Bobbin Head - Have taken my kids there heaps of times and only ever get baby bream and the odd whiting or jacket. May I ask which side of the bridge you were fishing please?
  2. Looks like you got your just desserts !
  3. We stayed in the exact house a couple of Easters ago, it is a magical spot. Didnt cath much off the jetty but we did try and catch a monster eel that came round each evening. Thanks for posting , brought back happy memories !
  4. Thank you for taking the time to share that with us - A most enjoyable read over my morning cup of tea
  5. A nice post mate - glad to see you can mix the fun of skiing and fishing on the same day ! I'm still waiting to break my duck with plastics, the hawkesbury prawns work better for me but I will keep practising til I crack it!
  6. Cool ,thanks mate and good luck to anyone entering the comp!
  7. Having just bought a3.5m rib I was thinking of taking it out on Saturday. Planning on putting it in at Appletree bay (Bobbin Head) Will this boat ramp be very busy due to the Hawkesbury classic ? I have only launched it once before and I dont want to get in the way at a super busy boat ramp.
  8. You can also try Waratah bay which is 2 or 3 bays up on the left from the boat ramp (at appletree bay). At low tide you can pump for nippers and also go for a bush walk to keep the kids amused if they want to stretch their legs . Good for flatties , bream and small pinkies
  9. Thanks everyone , I will be around cowan creek area so the Anglers rest is a possibility, if not as you say just tape it (not as if its the eels anyway!) I will let you know how the fishing goes.
  10. Sorry to make my first post a question but being inexperienced in this fishing/boating life I havent had anything useful to add so far. We have the boat share booked for this sunday/monday and very much looking forward to a weekend on the hawkesbury . The only drawback being my son is a big Roosters fan and doesnt want to miss the final. So my question is , are there any bays on the hawkesbury that you can get tv reception? Thanks for any help. Also thanks to all who add fishing reports , I am learning a lot from all the posts and its much appreciated.
