  1. Location: Tinonee (Manning River) - Ramp situated off Manchester Street. Parking/condition: Plenty of parking along the roads edge leading to the ramp. Summer time can get busy. Plenty of room for launching, and preparing. Ramp has a small but old wharf along side it, as can be seen in the picture. Facilities: Good ramp for exploring the upper saltwater regions of the Manning River. Good ramp access although a touch on the steep side of things but definately does the job. All the shops, etc are located in Tinonee which is just a short walk up the road. No real amenities such as toilets etc but there are some public toilets located up the road at the Tinonee Oval in Burdett Street or if you are in a boat you can access the toilets across the river at the Taree Estate (Andrews Reserve, Edinburgh Drive) boat ramp and picnic area. Takeaway food shops are also situated in Tinonee as well as fuel and snacks/drinks etc.
  2. Is is indeed a good thing and you should be able to get an even better rate than what you have quoted. Time to go shopping online in the US me thinks. cheers Hooky

  6. G'day Henry Try here. http://www.fishraider.com.au/gpsmarks cheers Hooky
  7. No worries Stewy and Mrs Stewy and thanks for neatening (is that a word) up the ramp section. I'm thinking I might add "TomTom" navigator coordinates in with the ramps as well. I still have all the ramps for the Manning River to post up............soon. (I've said that a million times ) Reminds me, I have boat ramp POI's on my TomTom which I'm slowly building up. Once I get it done I might post the file for all to use. Maybe best to be put it in the GPS section though. cheers Hooky

    Gps Advice

I originally had a chartplotter with an internal antenna installed on my boat but it was never reliable on acquiring satellites so I changed it for an external antenna model and it made a 100% improvement. The external antenna is non-obtrusive and is lucky to sit 1 1/2" high on the bow in front of the windscreen. BTW, this is just my opinion and my observations. cheers Hooky
  10. All the best to you both. cheers Hooky
  11. Good one, when you get the SP's, bring em over and I'll store them in a safe place for 'ya. to ya, didn't even realise you were one year older when I saw you on the weekend...........5 years older, yes, but one year, no!!! cheers Hooky
  12. Welcome aboard Pete & Co at GoFish........ cheers Hooky
  13. And the "EVO Series II" (EVO SII) is standard on all Stacer Mod Pod models 4.49 metres and larger.
  14. Great stuff and good luck to them all. If it wasn't so close "to home", I would have been there too!!!
  15. Yep, a good day mick. A hundred fitty up is good.
  16. I've noticed a bit lately that the site was just a tad slower than normal. I've found the site good viewing also when viewing with the mobile phone. And it does, that's why I'm using the mobile. Can't get enough of the old Fishraider.
  17. Nice shoes!! BTW, when do WE go out and test these rods? I need a feed of squid rings...................actually, I don't need a feed of squid rings, I just need to get out of the house and get on the water. Sittin' on the "four acres" doesn't do anything for me at all.
  18. I've got both in 4000s' down to 1500's and the Symetre is miles ahead of the Sedona. I think you have made the right choice when it comes down to picking between the two. So yeh, what they said. cheers Hooky
  19. It was a good weekend up north. I snuck into the area for the weekend visiting parents and inlaws, brothers etc. The usual rushed trip trying to keep family happy. Here's a pic I took from on top of Pilot Hill on Sunday.
  20. You ripper, got my beanie off "The iceman" this evening and I can truthfully say these beanies' are a lot warmer on the old noggin' than your normal "woollen" beanie. Thanks to Stewy for passing it on to Andrew for me, well done. Now I just need to get a boat that will go fast enough for me to test it out properly. cheers Hooky
  21. Great stuff, good 'onya Huey. cheers Hooky
  22. All good things take time but how much time I'm not sure. I'm getting impatient. I'm starting to spend my money on more camping/4WD'ing goods/accessories at the moment and there mightn't be anything left for a new boat. Sounds interesting Greg............. cheers Hooky
  23. Good punting to 'ya Mick. Just a quick three hours at the local for me today. Put a few wagers on for tonight and got "Tip the Angel" up so far. This 'arvo was a good return as well, except for the bloody headache I have after knocking down, or should I say, fitting in, as many schooners as I could in three hours. cheers Hooky
  24. Can you put my name down for one of those beanies' as well please. Might get Andrew, "The Iceman", to collect it for me. cheers Hooky
