    Sounder

Hi I wanted to know how reliable a 15 year old sounder would be I was cruising the harbour on the weekend and the finder was going nuts with fish of all sizes showing on the screen so i would pull up and fish using bait and lures but no takers do you think the sounder is rubbish or the fish were not hungry? Adzzy
  2. Hi all I would just like to comment on how good our harbour is This morning i was sitting by the water eating my bacon and egg roll yummmmm when i noticed 2 mullet cruise past so i through some bread in they egnored it but the black fish, bream and fan bellies didnt there were heaps of them and a very good size too while on the surface a prawn swims bye with a squid following close behind it, as i was pointing the prawn and squid out to a work mate 2 rat kingys fly bye where is the rod when you need it This all happened in about 5 minutes and by the end of that 5 minutes i think i only ate half the bacon egg roll and the fish ate the other half seeing this has lifted my spirits as i went for a fish on sun in the new boat and all i caught were small snapper i now know where i will be wetting the line this weekend adzzy
  3. Hi Billyd Nice fish but at that size it was probably to old to survive the fight. are they good eating? where was it caught the bridge looks alot like the singing bridge in hawks nest think im wrong though gez it would be nice to have a world record catch of any fish one can dream i guess thanks for sharing Adzzy
  4. hey the collapisible orange ones are the go. i have caught plenty in these over the years and the best thing is you can leave it for days if you wanted and the crabs cant get out and they will continue to climb in as long as there is food still in it with the wiches hats your relying on them to tangle them selves or for you to snag them on the way up also the net openings are larger and fish swim in to eat the bait Adzzy

Hi Raiders I have a ladder attached to the transom of my boat and am swaping it to the other side of the boat to make way for my back up bracket and need to plug the original holes from the ladder I assume the best way would be to knock in some dowl and gel coat over the top inside and out would i be right or is there a better way cheers Adzzy
