  2. After rain in the georges and the bay fires up but in the hacking the kingies and squid move to the entrance so if your fishing the entrance its very good but if your after squid dont even waste any time A.dawg~~~

  4. Your info is pretty much 100% but dont worry about live poddy's in deeper water. In deeper water flatties wont search by sight but by smell so remember to hav salted tuna or Slimmies Very goood for flatties A.dawg~~~

  16. decided to go landbased at hacking and possibly get a kingie or jew and some squid. (sorry landbased decided late so didnt call you along to get some squid) Arrived at 5pm within 15minutes had a bucket full of yellowtail with a PB at 45cm+++ yakka Chucked out a livie and started flicking a 3 inch bass lure out... First cast hook on something nice 2 mins after droped it... Probly a trevally alot in the hacking atm. After 5 casts 3 plastics were totally demolished by the jackets So changed to a new orange squid jig i bought to giv a go... It was a orange 1.8 squidjig Brand : Daiwa costs about the same as a yo-zuri 20-30$$$ 1st cast a nice litle squid follows my jig all the way under the wharf and just staring at it but wouldnt hit 10 seconds after it was jetting away at very high speeds the KAPPPPOW!!!!!!! staring at the water sheeeeeeeeeeting myself... A skool of kingies slammed the squid kingies over 1m long and other not 1 undersized... quickly put my livie in the right position but it wasn't touched so went to option 2 fresh squid strip..Still no touch although saw a massive bream take it in its mouth and then spit it back out... 30mins after continued trying to get some squids... Attracted a whole skool and got 7 in no time put a few out livies which were demolished by pickers Took the remaining home with the bigger one for dinner Sashimi For those who wanted to know how to prepare sashimi squid heres a picture off my dinner tonigt Good luck and dont catch all the fish cheers A.dawg~~~
  17. over 90% of my squid from the hacking are with the pink 1.8 yamashita I find not even my yo-zuris can match it

  19. Hooking onto a solid jew and a sh#$ bought brand new for $120 with some new 30lb fireline 10 secs after the bail arm snapped and the fish took half of the line
  20. Hi RPL they are pretty expensive knifes if you want you can get them for 20 bucks for a cheap one but about 40-80 for a quility japanese one at a japanese kitchemware shop makes it alot easier to cut them with the more expensive ones... If your around the Stgeorge area one they sell them at hurstville on forest road once you exit the station a 2minute walk and your there... Not sure off the name thought but else where im not sure ... my mum got one at woolies for about 120 a set so maybe you can try woolies ask them for a shashimi knife... The smaller squid usually taste the same as larger squid but the larger squid hav a better texture and more sweet Cheers A.dawg~~~
  21. Hey jew hunter squid is beuatiful shashimi!!! you have to try it! its a got a special taste and texture off its own. for fresh squid which has never been frozen u must take: 1)take out the head and guts and use it for bait or wuteva 2) then out goes the flaps 3)take out all the skin or it will taste like Sh#& Then u need a very thin and sharp shashimi knife and need to cut the whole tube into two tubes by this i mean side ways as if you were trying to fillet a fish except with no bones takes alot of practise to get it right 4) cut it into strips off about 2cm x 4cm at this time the pieces should not be over 2mm thick 5) put lots of wasabi and soy sauce and voila!!!! PS: At first it might be like bubble gum just have more and you'll be begging for me Tell me how it goes for those who try it Cheers A.dawg~~~
  22. I heard somewhere anything west of the bridge DO NOT EAT and anything east from it no more that 200g a month? Maybe someone can correct me but since i heard that i am scared to eat anthing out off the habour and rarely ever fish there
