  1. Yeah looked at the Emblem Pro rod, Not real happy with it, Cant remember what I picked out off the top of my head.. The reel to match is to heavy to throw around for long days.
  2. I think you just turned me off a 305, That's just ridiculous... The question is... Did you get another one hahaha.
  3. Let me get this strait... You snapped a 305 on a rat?? No one but 2 305's on rats!!! you have to be shitting me?? what point of the rod broke??? Sorry but I find this hard to believe... I have loaded this rod up in store's (not the same I know) but man it had some power!!! I know it can happen but I have fought some nice size pelagics on light gear and never broke rods. Lost a lot of gear but never snapped anything. Is it a fault with the Graphite in this stick? Did you contact Daiwa about this?
  4. Looks like you had a blast mate! That's a lot of Cod you got!!!!
  5. doing a whole new outfit actually the rod is/will be Daiwa Seajigger 305. I looked at the Emblem pro but to big and heavy... hmm not a fan of Shimano for some reason, Had some bad luck with them. Would like to fit out all Daiwa but not sure if that's going to happen, Recon a TD SOL 4000 would cut it? only 4.9 tho.... finally found a place that has them.
  6. Also sent an email to both of them the other day, It would be GREAT if the done a story on this!! everyone else should email them as well just to put the point across that lots of people are interested in this.
  7. Hey Scienceman If I remember right you were the bloke I met on Narara creek stocking up on Mullet a while back and you put onto this great forum!!! Many Thanks!! If anyone knows a prawning spot in brisbane waters I also would like to know..

Im more that happy to spend time getting petitions signed around my area. would that do anything???

  15. Im looking at going to the Hawkesbury this weekend for the first time. Looking to catch some small Jew to start the learning curve on them and would like to get into some Bass/EP as well. Of course anyone fishing there this weekend would be more than happy to have a flick with them. I will be going down EARLY Sat morn for a big drive around the system "Wisemans ferry, spencer, leets vale, lower macdonald" and so on.. I am shore based so will be walking a lot and will be taking lite gear for a test... Then I will go back down Sunday for a full day of what I hope to be rod bending action! Any tips on Lures to take and bait for through the day would be handy... 21. Its an adventure all right, I have not done the walk in a few years and my legs are stuffed! On another note anyone who wants to do this with me next time I go down to Canberra (Jan at this point) feel free to send me a message. catching twice the fish is more fun! There is also yella's to be had. I'm thinking of maybe hiking down on a sat, fish through the night with surface lures and bait and hike out Sun.
  22. Yeah that could be alright!!! Not sure if I would get into comp fishing, Guess I should give it a go some time... Boat would help a little... Cheers for the PM as well, Email sent.
