  1. Thanks Jeff. I'm away at work at the moment, and Webbs Creek is worryingly close to my place (as the crow flies) thanks for the pics
  2. Yes that will work, particularly in Summer. It's a River 2 Sea something- I've got one, it's taken a few Bass, but not that many compared to some other stuff. As for other lures, whg are you doimg Dam/River? Edit: ah, saw the other post. Nearish Windsor from a canoe ye Assuming you want cheaper lures: Nothing wrong with the Feral Cat you had in the other thread. Jitterbugs are also extremely effective. Betts Spins with a plastic and jighead are awesome, and very cheap. Surecatch poppers are good for their price. Manns 5+. If your budget is higher: Jackalls, Chubbies, high end poppers, Lucky Craft Sammy 65's, Spinnerbaits, the list is endless. Go and see Benny at Windsor.
  3. Devlins is in the upper Hawkesbury

You'll definitely need one of the bigger 24v ones though. Have you looked at the type that attaches to your engine leg ?
  5. When you get new shoes- the little white satchel thingy in it, if you stick one of these in your lure box, it will absorb moisture and and drastically reduce rusting/discolouration.
  6. 46cm off the surface is a nice Bass in anyones book, congrats on your new PB
  7. Nice work, what sort of lures were you using ?
  8. I didn't see any on Sunday morning. Maybe the rain pushed them all back down the river

  10. Hi. At night I like larger splashy lures (all topwater). The Jitterbug is a great one, also try larger poppers and fizzers. Lean towards the dark colours, and surprisingly fluro colours work well too (also make it easy to see them). If bank fishing, use the heavier lures so you can get big distance (snags aren't nearly so important at night, as the bass will be cruising).
  11. Non poisonous as far asI am aware. It's only Irrikunjandi (s/p?) and Box Jellys that are truly poisonous. The ones in the Hawkesbury are everywhere, i saw some 10mins East of Windsor a few days ago!
  12. Great Muddies. Try one as a Chilli Mudcrab next time. Wife mentions it too me everytime I hook the boat up
  13. Great Flathead, even better that the kids caught it.
  14. Same. After 10 years fishing the Hawkesbury and never havign been stopped, I've now been search 3 times since the start of December.
  15. You can get some lure wraps (canvas type material with velcro on 3 sides) from motackle, approx $10 for 2. Although I have a few I usually switch onoe back and forth when on the boat (more to avoid hooks in feet than anyhing else)
  16. Awesome link, my boss hates you!
  17. Most impoundments require a license. I think Awoonoga is the only one that doesn't.
  18. I have this as well. 30pd Daiwa, for Barra and Kings. I find the rod a little light at the tip for the heavier lures (say 1.5oz and bigger), am planning to change up for the next trip
  19. Surecatch make a box of 4 (or 5) poppers in a litle box for about $10-15. Whilst not one of my go to lures, I lend them out to hopeless casting friends, and I've been pretty happy with the fish taken.
  20. Thanks Roberta, very informative
