Hey guys, ill be heading up to Avoca rocks tomorrow with a few mates for the day. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this spot lately? anything biting also this will be my first trip there, will a 1.4m>1.1m swell and 11knot winds be ok to fish this spot? does anyone know any back up spots if its too rough to fish the platforms? we will be travelling 120km each way and don't want to come home without a fish. thanks.

Hey guys, just after some details about this ramp? i live fairly close to it, but haven't actually had a look at it.. I am planning on launching there (first time). just some questions - does it get busy during the week? -is there plenty of parking? -sand either side? wharf? -is the ramp slippery? i drive a ef ghia rear wheel drive which has trouble with traction as it is, and will be towing a 16ft half cab thanks

I use a flexible LED light strip which has been mounted to the bait board. Lights up the entire deck nicely.. I'm also using led head lamps and rechargeable led work lights which you can pick up from supercheap for about 20 bucks and are extremely bright in short distance.

I have run shell optimax 98 fuel in my 85hp merc ever since i got it with out any problems.

A koala is sitting up a gumtree smoking a joint when a little lizard walks past and looks up and says "Hey Koala! What are you doing?" The koala says: "Smoking a joint, come up and have some." So the little lizard climbs up and sits next to the koala and they have a few joints. After a while the little lizard says his mouth is 'dry' and is going to get a drink from the river. But the little lizard is so stoned that he leans too far over and falls into the river. A crocodile sees this and swims over to the little lizard and helps him to the side, then asks the little lizard: "What's the matter with you?" The little lizard explains to the crocodile that he was sitting smoking a joint with the koala in the tree, got too stoned and then fell into the river while taking a drink. The crocodile says he has to check this out and walks into the rain forest, finds the tree where the koala is sitting finishing a joint, and he looks up and says "Hey you!" So the koala looks down at him and says: "Faaaaarrrrk dude....... how much water did you drink?!!"

Instead of buying bread crumbs, go to your local baker and ask for a bag of old bread. $2.50-$3.00 will get you a huge bag of old bread rolls/loaves. Soak these in a bucket with old bait, chook pellets and tuna oil to make a good burley. Adding sand will help get the burley down deeper if there is a strong current running (stops the boat behind you stealing all your hard work )
