awesome trout mate! haven't seen trout that big come out of lyell for A LOT of years! I was there on the saturday arvo land based for not even a hit. Too bloody windy. same story at tcd, couldn't throw in a lure it was that windy.

definitely get a marine battery.. When we first got my boat up and running (around 4 years ago) we purchased a marine battery from supercheap..just their own cheap brand and it is still in our boat to this day strong as ever..just goes to show that cheap is not always nasty although i've heard their own brand are actually re-badged century's. my battery is around 600 cca and we do alot of night fishing where the lights are constantly on, and its always started the motor. We just insure thats it been charged at home the night before for 10 hours.

Hey guys, just a quick question. When out fishing (salt or fresh) its always annoying when you have to change lures by re-tying them. Is there a device out there that lets you change lures by a clip of some sort (kind of like whats on wire traces, but obviously i don't want wire when lure fishing..) having different lures on different rods isn't an option because i don't have space for 40 rods nor do i have 40 rods thanks

i've tried one before and found it wasn't too bad lightly fried battered with bread crumbs.. I guess you should try it and decide for yourself..that way you will find out whether you like them or not.
