Yakkas In Botany Bay

Hi all,

am heading out to molineaux point in the morning and would like to know where i should go to get some yakkas, found some off the 3rd runway no long ago but the makerel were smashing the baits before the yakkas. Also a heads up on what bait to use would be good also, i know the yakkas in the harbour can be fussy and only take mince.

Stuff the yakkas..if you can get slimies use those instead. Else head closer towards bunerong hot water outlet . Amongst the weed/sand you can get yakkas and pike.

was there 2 weeks ago and got them of the actual point..they were abit big but still alrite as live bait..

squid is prefered bait for kings i found

the slimies i was getting were a bit big for kings i would think between 30-40cm

pillies and prawn ok for yakkas?

western end of the container wall, the bottom end of yarra bay you can also get squid there & watts reef is also ok for yakkas

Ye the kingies love fresh slimies so if ur cathin them its all gud mate.
