netic
Hey all, Went out this morning to see what we could get on the south head run. Got to rose bay ramp at 6.00am to find very cold but smooth conditions. Went straight out to south head and proceeded to troll south, took around 30 minutes for the first hook up which was a good size bonnie, around 55cm Over the next hour we picked up 4 bonnies that were around 40-45 cm Then when trolling right in front on Bondi got a double hook up on some undersize kings, around the 50cm mark, over the next ten minutes we caught 5 undersize kings until we got a harder hit on the little Aernos 4000. After a very careful fight on 10lb gear we landed a 65cm king. Trolled again and got another 60cm+ king to the boat but it spat the hook just as we were about to net him. Trolled back to the heads for 1 Salmon and a few more bonnies. Not the great numbers i was hoping for but was happy to get a smallish legal king and 5 undersize ones which were all good fun on the light gear. namesay
Beeeewdiful! Love those kings. The coming summer looks all set for a good run although this winter has also been pretty good for kings! Man what a difference it without those fish traps! Cheers Kelvin

James
the red and white are always a favourite. is it normal for the water temp to be 20 odd degrees for august. you would think that would be the main factor why they are still getting the kings in good numbers around august. well done again netic
